This place is the best. My wife I were heading home to Minneapolis after a road trip, and after blowing the engine on our 98 Subaru in Beresford, we had it towed to Schulte for a final verdict. They made time in their full schedule for us as we were on the road, and they were extremely friendly when we arrived, made us comfortable with snacks and drinks, took a look at it for free (it was blown...), gave us a free ride to the airport to get a rental car, and not once did they try to pressure us into buying a new car from them. As if all this wasn't enough, they also had me mail them the title from Minneapolis so they could arrange for the salvage to come pick it up, then send us the salvage check. They gave their all for folks they KNEW were not going to buy anything from them. If I lived in Sioux Falls, they would be my go-to dealership and service shop. If you live in Sioux Falls, make them yours.
We recently purchased a new 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6 Touring. We found the staff at Schulte Subaru very helpful. We were impressed with the Safety features with this vehicle and with the the Subaru staff that helped us to learn to set and utilize these new features. We had a very positive experience.

I just purchased a new Subaru Forester XT from this dealership on Saturday 1/30. I had previously spoken to Darrell via phone and corresponded through email about the Subaru Outback. I test drove a Outback at a different dealership the night before, and what a difference! I won't speak ill of the other dealership as nothing was terribly wrong - but at Subaru of Plano they got everything right. From the moment my husband and I walked in we were taken care of. We were offered water or a soda from a couple of different people before we met up with Darrell. When the first salesmen we encountered learned we were there to meet with Darryl, he was not off put or suddenly disinterested - he was still kind and professional making sure we connected with Darrell. All prior discussions with Darrell had been about the outback, but when I decided I preferred the Forester and a particular one on the lot, Darrell quickly got the keys and let us test drive it. We weren't told what route we had to take, how quickly we had to get it back, it was just very smooth and relaxing. Darrell was very knowledgeable about the vehicle but more importantly he took the time to get to know us. He was very friendly and inquisitive and asked all the right questions to see why this car would be the best fit for us. When we decided we liked the XT touring package he didn't immediately try to start warning us about cost and payment, he just said -" let me see what I can do. I'll beat the interest rate you were quoted (and he did) and I'll help you get your payments where you want them (and he did)". The whole experience was quick and easy. We weren't expecting to purchase that day and we were in a hurry to pick up our children for a birthday party. The dealership didn't take any longer than necessary to get the sale done. The finance manager was very kind. We did opt to up the warranty to 80,000 miles since we keep our cars for about 10 years. Being the end of the month I expected to have the employees push that "sense of urgency" on us, but I never felt that. Everything about the dealership I would recommend, it was clean, "pet friendly" great inventory, and most importantly the genuine helpful staff.

The service dept. couldn't have been better. They performed the service of placing assist steps to our 2018 Enclave. The price was very competitive to other dealerships; even better! Unfortunately, the assist steps are still too high for my wife to properly enter the vehicle. (She is 4'10".) Wish something else could be done for her...
Awesome place.... sales person Dan was super nice vary knowledgeable on the car I was interested in (2017 legacy) they price matched me and ever knocked off an extra $100 dollars in good faith. If your in the market for a Subaru they definitely worth a visit.
Mid-City Subaru and Brian Ferguson in Sales make a great team for buying a new car. I saw the car I wanted online, called, went to see it and negotiated a deal with Brian in a short amount of time. I had researched cars for 3-4 weeks, visited a different dealer, but found the exact car I wanted on Mid-City's website. Bought it immediately and drove it away the next morning. Everything went smoothly, thanks to Brian and Mid-City.
I was interested in trading in my Q50 to reduce my expenses and get myself into a more reliable vehicle with great space, MPG, and cheap insurance. I met all these marks with the C-HR. Although I can be a tough client at negotiating, Serge and Kent were awesome at trying to find a middle ground where everyone wins. I was able to minimize my trade loss and come out with a great 60 month 0% APR loan and reduced my monthly expenses by at least $50-$70 from my 2014 Q50; however, I had a new 2018 C-HR! Great job, guys.
My wife and I were returning Subaru owners and were looking for our 5th new selection. Our lease was up and were contemplating keeping our 2016 Outback or move to another vehicle. Alan provided several options (18 outback, 18 Forester, 19 Ascent) but non that my wife loved till Alan showed her a 19 Forester sport. She loved it. There wasn't one in stock but we test drove a similar one which was great. We went to do the numbers and they weren't what we wanted. We left sad but okay with our decision. Later in the week Alan reached out to us with a better offer which was in our ballpark but not there yet. Finally, Alan reached out to us again with an offer we were happy with an made us happy once again with a price we liked and a car we loved. Other sales reps would not have tried to gain our business or would have pushed us to another choice but Alan made it happen and I thank him for that. Everyone at the dealership has been great and always felt welcome.
