Purchased this truck new ten years ago, four door, six foot bed, towing package- fuel mileage is not the best (16mpg avg) due to the towing gear ratio, however I tow a lot of boats up to 22 feet and have never had a problem. Currently have 80,000 miles with only routine manufacturer recommended maintenance. Only negative, my wife finds the truck too long (19 feet) for the mall parking spaces.

Our recent purchase and trade-in of cars at Eastlake Auto Brokers was very positive. The lot is set up with each type of vehicle with like vehicles side by side. Met in the parking lot with a helpful salesman who connected us with Paul who went with us on two promising test drives. When we came back the next week, Robbi was available and just as pleasant to work with since Paul was not there. Again, positive test drives and we were ready to make a purchase. Our Lexus SUV hybrid was beautifully detailed and after working with this team who do not pressure at all, we are blessed with what will be a vehicle that meets all the necessary requirements we've been looking for for two months. After visiting dealerships all over the great state of Washington and hitting roadblock after roadblock, we happened upon 405 Motors and thought we'd give them a chance. This was my son's first time buying a car, and at every other place we went, he was told that a 19.99% interest rate was the best he was going to get without a co-signer. To say the least, it made car searching for my son very discouraging and frustrating. But 405 Motors was a complete game-changer. Not only did they help him find a car he absolutely loves, but they also got him approved at an 8% interest rate, which every other dealership said was impossible given his lack of credit history. The team was respectful, honest, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. They treated us like people, not just a sale. Truck was a champ. Mileage slightly less than advertised but still decent. Felt like sitting in a lifted car but was smooth on oilfield goat trails and held up real well saving gas compared to other full-size trucks. I think the fake hood scoop was xxxxxxxx but otherwise a great truck. 4x4 in mud snow and icy roads was excellent. Real reliable truck.

Bought this truck with 204000 right away found somebody had used butt connectors on wiring next to fan motor. Also cruise work intermittent.seat on driver side torn .but have been very happy with blue Tacoma.

Overall the Tacoma is built like a TANK! I chose the 4 cyl 2.7L and it does perform amazingly well for such a large truck, I think the ride is good but of course it's a truck so it is a bit bumpy, expected because it is made to go off road when necessary. The only thing I would change on this truck is to have 4 wheel disk brakes it would change the trucks handling and feel enormously, with the disk front - drum rear in stock form the pedal feel is annoying and spongy, which makes the front end dive if you really have to haul your speed down quickly and that effects the overall handling a lot! The resale value is insane!

Its a utilitarian stripped down Access Cab. Plenty of power with the V6 and tugs like a tugboat with 4WD. A dog can fit in the Access seat; people? Not so much.

Overall the 2014 Tacoma 4.0L DBL Cab Long bed is a great vehicle. However, the suspension (shocks) should have been more heavy duty. Also, the AC system doesn't seem to be adequate for the vehicle. Perhaps a larger capacity system should be considered.

Overall, my 2013 Tacoma has been reliable. It is 7 years old and has 71000 miles. I have had to basically replace every major component that had to do with AC. This has been frustrating to say the least

Long story short, my first experience was a complete debacle. I left reviews on Google and Yelp, and I was contacted straightaway by Mark Therrien (new car sales manager). He explained the situation from his perspective and offered an apology and a workable solution. At this point, there was no agreement that I would return, but Mark handled a tough situation with the utmost professionalism After a short call, Mark did a number of things that I appreciate and value: • Got some information from me so we could take advantage of my drive time to get credit worked out. This multi-tasking saved a fair amount of time at the dealership. • Gave me a side-by-side comparison of my pre-approved interest rate and the rate they were able to offerWhile I was driving, Mark and team found a better interest rate that reduced my payments by a few dollars per month. The reduction was not large, but the point is that they went out of their way to optimize the loan for me. • Mark presented me with a simple and straightforward set of numbers that explained the cost, their cost, a fair trade in value, and what my payment would be. Somehow I knew that buying a new car only required some basic arithmetic with a handful of numbers. This was exactly what I was looking for. Look at the bottom ¼ of a sheet of paper, do some math in your head, and know what the heck is happening. • He also did something unnecessary but very thoughtful to compensate me for my time. • Talked to me like a normal person engaging in a basic and mutually beneficial business transaction. Honest, straightforward, and very comfortable conversation. • Mark hustled to schedule the cleaning of my new car and visit with finance in a way that helped to make things go faster. Again, this was my second long drive and for other reasons, I was really pressed for time. My visit with Nicole Smith in finance was equally straight forward, honest, simple, and educational. • Nicole likewise gave me a very clean set of numbers to approve and the signing process was quick. • She also provided a surprising amount of useful information. A lot of this was regarding various warranties and packages that they could offer, and when I saw that coming, I felt a little twinge of irritation start to arise…again mostly because of some bad experiences earlier in the week. But I listened and realized that the things she was talking about were reasonably priced products that had a solid value proposition. • The point is that there were no gimmick products and those that were offered had a benefit at a good price, and there was no hard sell. Basically just a well thought out presentation of the value proposition and a “feel free to take it or not” quality to the discussion. • Nicole also gave a very interesting piece of insight and advice about an insurance product. Without going into detail, there was a thing that I thought was a good idea, and she explained to me why it was actually a pretty bad idea…and it made perfect sense. I didn’t see it because I’m not a professional in this particular field, so the edification was appreciated. Finally, there was a gentleman that did a great walkthrough of my car. I am amused by the fact that most of the learning has to do with a computer and how to talk to my new car. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this experience. As a business person, I’m enjoying looking back at this as a case study of sorts. Mark and Nicole’s ability to take fiasco and turn it around into a positive experience is noteworthy, and I would definitely consider doing business here again.

First truck I have had in 15 years. It rides smooth and pulls great. So far the gas has been pretty good for a truck. Nice sleek design but still rugged enough to do what I need.

The Toyota tacoma is the perfect vehicle for my area. Being in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania the tacoma handles every season with ease, being a great winter vehicle as well as a great truck for summer trips to the beach and family road trips.
