I'm very disappointed that Drive Connect, Toyota maps and navigation, will be shut down after only one year. This is unheard of in the industry. I know I can use my cell phone, but I prefer not to. Although I have been very happy with my 2024 Tacoma, this policy has soured me on ever buying another Toyota vehicle. My wife was planning to buy a new RAV4, but instead we just purchased a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. We replace our vehicles every 3 years. In 2 more years, I will trade in this Tacoma and buy a new Ford Ranger. I'll pay the $15/month for navigation for the next 2 years, but that's it for Toyota...

Great experience so far with the Tacoma.
Great experience so far with the Tacoma. Have loved the ride and comfort it provides, with the only negative so far being some of the quality of the interior isn’t the greatest. The door panels specifically are loose feeling on the handles, seems cheap for a $55k truck.

The Gen 4 Tacoma is very nice.
The Gen 4 Tacoma is very nice. There are a few issues that Toyota should have never allowed. First, as in the Gen 3, the drivers side assist handle is missing. That is a nice feature that should be in the truck. Second, the glove box door looseness is an embarrassment. It is disgustingly loose. I was able to buy some inserts online for $11. Toyota ought to be doing that for all the trucks. Third, the electronic stuff is WAY WAY WAY overboard. Way too much and way to confusing and way to difficult to shut off and keep off. I want a truck I can drive, not wrestle with the electronics. The notion of not being able to buy desired options is terrible. I do not need a power tailgate and inability to open the tail gate without a key. Either pay $4000 for some thinks you want or pay $8000 to get lots of stuff you don't want just to get 1 or 2 things you do want. The electronic dashboard is way overboard. Another 'feature' that is way overboard and can not be simplified. This is a truck, how about some analog gauges? The good part is the ride is amazingly solid and smooth, performance is pretty snappy for a relatively heavy vehicle and I expect Toyota longevity. Overall, the basic truck is nice, but the extra stuff is unwanted, unnecessary and adds complexity that is not desired
