At 64,000 miles there was a problem where it dropped into “ limp mode”. Zero acceleration, it drove between 4 and 30 mph. First fix was a reset of the hybrid power train control module. The second time, dealer could find nothing. Third time, consulted Ford Corporation and after four months, Ford decided a new engine was the fix. A year later, here I am again with the same issue. Again! They told me they can’t find anything to fix and the code is a generic “ engine degradation “. This is an unacceptable situation for me. I am in the process of looking for a vehicle to trade this in for. Other than this, I give it good review scores but… this may be the last Ford I ever buy and that’s not in a good way. Pass on the 22’s and 23’s . If you must buy one, 2024 or 2025. As for me, I R.E.F.U.S.E to trust Ford ever again.

It’s a cheap truck they build to cut corners.
It’s a cheap truck they build to cut corners. The exterior paint is horrible, mine chipped down to the bone within my first week have a huge white spit on the front hood where it happened. Can’t clean it, holds water and soap all over the plastics, again the paint is horrible. There are weird functions in the truck. There is this auto blower that has a 1 2 or 3 setting. If your finger by accident hits it on the touchscreen there is no button to turn it off or change it just cycles through 1,2,3. I was having a panic attack because it was so cold and it wouldn’t shut off so I got out of my car then back in and it was off. The temp control inside is bad. It’s either so cold you could hang meat in the car or if you turn the ac off the air on low is warm. In the summer I can’t drive for more than 3 minutes without needing to adjust the blowers or temperature. I’m definitely missing some things. Steer clear of the ford maverick

I own the 2022 Ford Maverick XLT Hybrid and so far with roughly 28,000 miles on it I love it. Cannot believe the gas mileage that I get. From April thru Nov I am in the upper 40's to low 50's. That is driving in the cities and highways between the cities. Any long travels on the expressway and my mileage drops to the mid to low 30's. When I purchesed it in 2022 I stayed with the standard XLT interior and I do not regred not upgrading it. It is comfortable for a vehicle and it is quiet. I have easily gotten 4 golf bags in the truck bed and 4 golfers in the cab with one of those golfers standing at 6 foot 8 inches. I've also been able to get 2 10 foot kayaks in the bed with no problem. Yes, they extended beyond the tailgate but had no problems. So far I rank my purchase of my 2022 SLT Ford Maverick Hybrid as one of the top two vehicles I've purchased in my life time, and I will be 74 in 2025.
