Honda quality has certainly gone downhill, and I have had Honda's for at least 25 consecutive years. The CRV Hybrid is also very expensive to maintain, with rear transaxle fluid needing to be replaced every 3 years, as well as brake line fluid, and also the CVT transmission fluid needs to be changed soon as well. (I have never had to replace ant of these on any previous car with well over 100,000 miles on each of them). The leather seats are made with low quality cheap leather. It has very low horsepower, and you cannot tow anything at all with it. In fcat, total weight capacity of all interior occupants is not to exceed 800 pounds maximum per the manual (i hope you have small people in your family). In regard to the hybrid battery, I was told the cost of (3 years ago) would be about $2000, NOT including labor. I think it will be a lot higher than that.

With 40-48 mpg around town and close to 40 mpg on the highway, we have saved several thousand dollars on gas by trading our Odyssey for this CRV-hybrid. It can carry a lot of baggage and is really comfortable on long trips. Great heating and cooling system, top-notch reliability with low maintenance costs. Our other car is a 2014 CR-Z hybrid, and we've owned 8 Hondas to date.

We are very happy with the car’s performance and comfort. The only two issues we’ve run into are one, the mileage we’re getting isn’t close to what was on the sticker, and two, the computer/entertainment system has had to be rebooted and the car restarted on several occasions for it to work properly. We’ve also had to change the cable fairly frequently to sinc with the iPhone.
