I have a 2021 Forester with 56000 miles.
I have a 2021 Forester with 56000 miles. I have always maintained at the dealer with all the required maintenance. Bought it new and initially loved the car however I have had some really major repairs that have never occurred in any other car I have owned. At just over 36000 miles my battery failed, my service person told me that Subaru is aware that they have problems w this because of the AV start feature pulling too much power from an undersized battery. I appealed to customer care because I was just out of warranty and they paid 300 of a 385 $ repair. Then at 52000 miles my rear wheel bearings failed, luckily my powertrain warranty covered but not until I had major anxiety over a 1400$ repair. Most recently I had a carbon build up on the valves that cause check engine lights to go on at 56000 miles. Another 1200$ repair still cover by powertrain . My concern is in 4000 miles I am out of warranty. I worry what will happen next? I am retired and the car is paid off. Was hoping for a good car for many years but now I am anticipating having to replace this one before 100000 miles. So disappointing. I do love the car safety features and comfort but it just isn’t as solid and reliable as I had hoped.

I bought a brand new 2020 Subaru Forester.
I bought a brand new 2020 Subaru Forester. Be prepared when your car hits the 90,000 mile mark. In the last 2 months I've had my check engine light go off 3 times. First issue: H20 sensor- $528. 2nd issue: gas tank sensor-$350. 3rd issue: thermometer-$789. I had two Nissan Xterras that I owned for 10 years each. A 2000 with 194,000 miles & 2010 with 204,000 miles. Aside from regular maintenance I only spent $400 on each replacing the heat coils. If they still made them when I needed a new car in 2020 I would have purchased it. I will NEVER buy another Subaru. One and done!!!!

I bought my car brand new.
I bought my car brand new. It has 23,000 miles on it. Paint is peeling on the right rear panel. Getting it painted is expensive.
