I bought a brand new 2020 Subaru Forester.

I bought a brand new 2020 Subaru Forester. Be prepared when your car hits the 90,000 mile mark. In the last 2 months I've had my check engine light go off 3 times. First issue: H20 sensor- $528. 2nd issue: gas tank sensor-$350. 3rd issue: thermometer-$789. I had two Nissan Xterras that I owned for 10 years each. A 2000 with 194,000 miles & 2010 with 204,000 miles. Aside from regular maintenance I only spent $400 on each replacing the heat coils. If they still made them when I needed a new car in 2020 I would have purchased it. I will NEVER buy another Subaru. One and done!!!!

I bought my car brand new.

I bought my car brand new. It has 23,000 miles on it. Paint is peeling on the right rear panel. Getting it painted is expensive.

Happy Forester Owner

The Forester is the first SUV I ever owned. It has had a few issues, but the dealership, Kenny Ross in Irwin Pa, has always been top notch in customer service. First issue was the orignal tires went bald after only 10,000 miles. I called Kenny Ross and they said they would contact corporate. Got 4 new tires at no charge. Next issue I did not even know I had. Took it in for an oil change and they tell me I need a new CVT. Didn't know I had a problem. No charge again. Last issue was a radio that kept giving an error message and would not work. Took four visits to isolate the problem, but now have a new radio that brings in more stations. Again for free. Highly recommend the bumper to bumper warranty. Money well spent.

Do not buy one of these terrible cvts. Jerks and lurches and shakes every xxxx time you drive it. Cheap interior with an annoying tablet. I won’t buy another Subaru

Happy and satisfied beyond my wildest dreams!

I have a 2020 Forester with 19000 miles. I love it, especially as a tall and aging man. It it easy to drive, easy to get in and get out. Miles per gallon is great, typically well over 30 mpg in day to day city driving. I have noticed a number of complaints about batteries. I think in 2019-2020 they had a bad supplier of batteries. My experience was total battery failure at about 10000 miles. I had to purchase a replacement from AAA. Such stories were common during that period. I was irritated but received reimbursement even though it is not typical for a dealer/car company to do so. Smart dealers want to keep your business. The only other expenses were created by potholes knocking the car out of allignment and nails in parking lots puncturing the same tire twice! Sweep your xxxx parking lots retailers and restaurants.

Very Unreliable - Terrible Customer Service

I just sold my 2020 Subaru back to the dealer after several very painful experiences with them due to failures. The last one was the thermal control value which caused all safety features to break, no high beams, no heat, all the warning lights consonantly going off and the transmission to be stuck in lower gears. Its not that something broke but it was the total incompetence of the local dealer in Flemington NJ and the corporate offices. Not only did it take 6 months to fix this they closed several cases which took me dozens of hours of being on hold on the phone to open. They could not even tell me what parts were needed or if when they would be delivered. While its nice to see the ads of how Subaru takes care of dogs they do not give a crap about their customers that spent $38,000 on their product that they cannot fix. It’s not the sale it’s the service that counts which they cannot provide so I WOULD NOT buy one or you will be sorry if something breaks.

No better 5 passenger vehicle anywhere.

My 2020 Forester does everything I ask it to, very effective and efficiently. I've owned over 100 vehicles in my life time and this one is with my top favorites. Good value, safe, economical, reliable, dependable, and over all quality is top notch. I am very pleased with this decision.

For older people better than Acura TLX

At 78 we had a hard time getting in and out of my Acura TLX. This vehicle is so much better for my wife and myself. Vehicle has more interior space, rides smoother, more safety features, better gas mileage, etc. Only time will tell if it is as reliable. Had the car now for 2 months.

Happy with the car

Every thing is fine with, I sometimes think that the storage space is small I would like to carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood but its tight. Right now I am having a problem with thermo control valve, reading that’s was common on 2019, but the dealer said it was ok to drive from Florida to Michigan Love the car otherwise
