Too many issues
Too many problems. I am waiting to hear back on the hydraulics electric control unit. I have a letter from Nov. 14,2023. I was told I would receive another letter when the remedy part is available.

Best car I've ever owned!
I own a 2011 EX V6. I bought it with 61,000 miles on it in March 2021. I have just at 111,000 miles on it now. Best car I've ever owned. Had a mustang and Camaro before this and they were terrible. The worst problem I've had is the driver side door won't open from the outside, but opens from the inside. The battery died about 2 months after I bought, but I bought a new one, and it's been fine since. The driver side headlight went out bout a month ago but replaced it. Driver side fog light is out. Had check engine light come on about a month ago, but it was just the gas cap. Honestly, I've seen a lot of people with bad 2011 sorentos, so I'm grateful mine is good. Older couple in their 80s bought it brand new in 2010, and then I bought it at the dealership as they were finalizing their new Buick purchase. They told me the history of the car and everything. They barely drove the car 6,000 miles a year, so I think I lucked out. Now, the car feels every bump on the road, so not the comfiest SUV I've been in. The leg room isn't terrible in the 2nd row, but good luck with a rear facing car seat lol. You'll have to move the driver or passenger seat forward if you put the car seat behind them.

Sorento tranny not so 'bullet proof' after all.
My 2011 KIA Sorento was purchased new from the dealer in Atlanta during the Summer of 2010 (2.4L LX). There have been some minor problems during the years since, but lately, I have been hearing some whining noises coming from the transmission. KIA dealer says I need a remanufactured transmission @ $3300. The part has to be ordered and there is a significant delay in getting it, plus I have to prepay. I have 141000 miles on it and planned to keep it a while longer, but I am having doubts about that now. I noticed there was a recall on the books for my year and model concerning the noise coming from the transmission. I am going to see if that will apply to my car. If not, I am going to trade it for a 2005 Lexus LX470 I have my eye on.
