We purchased our 2013 Ford Edge SEL, equipped with the 3.
We purchased our 2013 Ford Edge SEL, equipped with the 3.5l V6 engine, in Jan. of 2022 with 66,930 miles. What individuals considering purchasing a used Ford Edge with a 6 cylinder engine, I don't know much about the four cylinder equipped Edges, is that maintenance is ESSENTIAL. These vehicles require proper maintenance to achieve longevity. Fluid changes in proper intervals are the most essential aspect of maintenance for proper running. What we've had to deal with: AC quit blowing cold in the middle of July 7 months after purchase. I replaced the blender door actuator, EASY to install, but it was a SOFTWARE UPDATE ISSUE. Fix cost: $155.00. Two years later a shudder began. I changed the spark plugs and rear coil BOOTS, with no avail. I then added a transmission friction lubricator additive, the symptoms drastically reduced. I then had a flush performed at 76K miles. Fix Cost: plugs, boots, flush, and lubricator $262.00. The same year the windshield wipers wouldn't quit running. I replaced the windshield wiper switch, EASY. Fix Cost: $70.00. A year later I was told the outer tie rod needed replacing. I replaced the inner and outer tie rod myself. Easy fix. Fix cost: $300.00 (alignment included). The car now has 86,300 miles and I will be replacing the struts and shocks and having a coolant change performed early next year. Estimated cost: $450.00. Once these maintenance items are completed, the coolant and transmission fluids should be good for 50K miles, and the suspension for 50k-100k miles. The maintenance should prevent major mechanical problems, and it is not outrageously costly, but it is something to be aware of! - Purchased a Used car

We had our 2013 Ford edge for many years had zero problems with it until a stupid driver parked next to my husband and totaled the car. He wasn’t even in the car but until then it never gave us any trouble. We decided we would buy another ford edge which is a 2018 and beautiful. Hopefully we’ll have the same luck with this one. - Purchased a Used car

I was in love with this vehicle until, discovered this entire line of Ford models has water pump issues. Mine has started to show signs of failing...the replacement to prevent engine failure is VERY EXPENSIVE!! - Purchased a Used car

Bought my 2013 edge limited in 2014 new.
Bought my 2013 edge limited in 2014 new. Have replaced the catilitic converter but no problems at all. Has 106k miles. Everything works perfectly. Thought about getting a new car but it runs so well. Get 21 mph average. Put Lucas gas treatment in both of my Fords and all well and good. Have 3.5 liter. It’s very fast when needed. - Does recommend

Brake System
I own a 2013 Ford Edge, overall like the model and make of the vehicle. Started having issues in June 2023 with the brakes. has spend several $$$ on repairs still having the same issue there was a Safety recall on the brake booster, 150K, under 10 yrs on age. I spoke with the cooperate office. Vehicle is no under the recall because of the time the vehicle was build...who would have thought, I will never purchase another Ford due to the experience of trying to get this vehicle repaired. Ford does not appear to care about the safety of the customers only want to limit their responsibilities of their products. - Purchased a Used car

Good car!
I have had minimal problems after my 5yr extended warranty paid for itself. The only downside of this vehicle is the avg 18mph and its navigation which changes the radio when I try to change it. Also it interimentiltly has issues with trying to put an address in it as well. - Purchased a New car

Please Help!!!!!
I've owned this 2013 Ford Edge SEL limited for almost two years now. I've recently went to change the brakes to learn that all jack-points have been rusted out, and it would cause irreplaceable damage to the vehicle. So, I decided to take its to Ford dealer. And learned that since my vehicle fell outside off the recall, although even earlier models were being included in this recall; mine was not. As well as charging issues and the master cylinder Ford did replace the master cylinder. However my 2013 still sits still without being able to change my brakes due to excessive frame rust. I bought this car in the condition it is in. What can I do about this? - Purchased a Used car

Best Value
Didn't know much about this vehicle until I drove it on a test drive. Very impressed with the handling and room inside the vehicle. Handled like a brand new car, looks are very sporty and attractive. The Edge brand should last a long time. - Purchased a Used car
