Don't believe the 'German Engineering' shtick folks.
Don't believe the 'German Engineering' shtick folks. Our 2015 Golf TSI, now with 155,000 km has cost us a bundle in major repairs - transmission oil leak ($1,800), heater core failure ($1,000), water pump failure ($1,500) (class action lawsuit), broken engine valve spring ($1,500), engine turbo failure ($3,800), rear coil spring failure ($600). All values in Canadian dollars. How does a car company unlearn how to design and fabricate a simple coil spring? Can someone tell me please, because it's beyond me. A real piece of German garbage. Do not buy (unless you have very deep pockets for repairs).

2015 VW Golf Turbo diesel injection.
Thoroughly reliable diesel automobile. Steady fwy driving will get you 45 mpg. Nice not to have to change spark plugs. Likely not a great choice in subzero weather.
