GMC has admitted to knowing about these having ongoing engine problems. Do not waste your money with their company. Regular maintenance and my engine blew at 123000km. The cost of the engine repair is worth more than the value of the vehicle. If you purchase a GMC, make sure you sell it before it inevitably blows up and you're in the same boat as me!

The car is great up until 30000 miles, where the PCV valve caused excessive pressure to build up inside the engine, causing it to rupture, leading to a very expensive repair. Thankfully, the GMC dealership, I bought the terrain from replace the engine and fixed everything. But it doesn't really matter if you had the same exact issue happen only ten thousand miles later , and this time i had to pay out a pocket. It's a great then its not lol.

Expensive Engine Repair
The 2017 Terrains are known to have an excessive issue of excessively burning oil. (1qt per 1k miles). This caused our to blow an engine at only 150k miles. GMC is aware of this issue, but will not do any recalls. Would NOT recommend.
