I bought my 2019 Tiguan brand new.

I bought my 2019 Tiguan brand new. Fast forward to April 2024 with 55,000 miles on it and I had to have the engine replaced under warranty. Three weeks after getting the new engine,May 2024, the car goes into "Emergency Transmission mode". Another trip to the dealership and a transmission valve was replaced. Picked up the vehicle on a Wednesday and Thursday the vehicle again goes into " Emergency Transmission mode ", another trip to the dealership and the Transmission Control Module was replaced. Picked up the vehicle on Saturday and on the next Tuesday, you guessed it, back to the dealership with the " Emergency Transmission mode " in full effect. Since the first week of May 2024, now 13 June 2024, I have had my car in my possession for a total of 3 days. VW Customer Care is no help and simply!y apologizes for the car breaking down and the delay in getting it repaired. Once it is "repaired", I plan on trading this car immediately. I will never own another VW.

Good all - around vehicle...decent power, roomy and comfortable interior, quiet and smooth ride, good handling and nice steering feel, great gas mileage, good visibility... Freeway passing requires a bit of patience and planning...

Owns this car

I chose this Tiguan as it is large enough for me to carry my skis inside. It is extremely good on gas. It is very quiet on the road handles very well is very comfortable and is loaded with many safety and convenience features that I did not know I would even appreciate. It is very comfortable and enjoyable to drive.
