We bought this to be a daily driver and all-round family
We bought this to be a daily driver and all-round family w/dog hauler. It works for that purpose but is far too compromised in design to say it does anything well. It has been reliable, though there have been repeated recalls about the battery. The turning radius is very tight and it maneuvers easily for its size. There is good legroom for the back seat and they recline a bit, too. Other than that, it is not good. The cars' design flaws affect practicality, function and comfort: Visibility is lousy, particularly to the rear. The rear hatch is wrong in every way: awkward to operate, wasteful of space, it dribbles rainwater on you and into the car at the same time, the tiny window is always dirty and the tinier wiper can't clean enough of it, and you use most of your wiper fluid on it. The front windshield is in a well and a pain to clear snow from, and the roof rack rails funnel all the snow onto it. There isn't a lot of cargo (or dog) space with the rear seats up, and the spare tire is now under the floor so if you have a flat you'll have to unload the car to get to it. The seats are uncomfortable for anything other than a short trip, the bottom portion too short for adults and lumbar support is non-existent. Seat height adjustment pivots the seat rather than raising it evenly. The interior materials are cheap and lint and dust are impossible to control. The cabin is darker than Eye-ore's gloomy place. The ride is harsh (Toyota, please at least offer smaller wheels and tires with taller sidewalls). Due to the thin sheetmetal, minimal sound proofing and stupid door design that eliminates the rocker panels, the road noise level is LOUD. The all-wheel drive is a waste, it is front-wheel drive 98% of the time until you try to turn on a slippery surface, then the rear wheels try to push you forward with terrible understeer. The performance is adequate, but the mileage is not much better than my mid-size truck (which is more comfortable and quieter to boot). The bottom line is it is reliable and will get you there, but that low bar is all the good you can say about it.

Great family vehicle and Reliable
2017 Rav4 LE FWD bought new.Excellent vehicle- best I have owned. Zero issues of any kind as far as reliability. A little soft around corners, but a nice ride. Very quiet on the highway, getting 32 mpg. 27 city. Lots of storage in the back. Still the original brakes all around with 82K miles.
