I just bought this 2008 Mercedes Benz CLK350 Cabriolet at an auction here in Canada last year and knew it had to have a bit of work done. So I found an excellent mechanical shop and they went over it from bumper to bumper. I put high end Michelin tires on it and it is the most comfortable best handling car I’ve ever owned. The stereo is concert ready unbelievable sound, especially when I have a cd in the six cd stacker. Love the rain sensitive windshield and the great gas mileage. I’ve been on three fairly long trips approximately 3000 kms each and the car handled really well and ran extremely smoothly. I did put high end synthetic German made oil in it and it made a huge difference in the performance of the engine. It has 175000 klm on her or 100000 miles still lots of life in her. Bottom line after all was said and done i ended up paying around $12000. ,Which included a full detail of the car, Canadian dollars which is about a $5000. In savings up here. Don’t forget my friendly neighbours the Canadian dollars is worth approximately 35 to 40% less than the American dollar.

I love this car
I purchased this car last October (2019) as a project, knowing it needed work. One thing I've learned is to bypass the MB dealer for maintenance and repair, if you can find a reputable shop. I did and save $100 am hour on labor. It had 73K miles at the time. I paid less than $5K for this. Everything worked, except the windshield washer pump when I bought it. However, I knew it needed new rear shocks and front lower rear control arms and a driver's side ball joint. Currently, I'm into about $1,600 in repairs and the car is near perfect. I get great highway mileage, between 25 and 29mpg. It's very comfortable to ride in. I love the memory seats which include the mirrors and steering wheel. The only non OEM item I've put into it was the new stereo. No bluetooth on the original. Granted, rear seating is minimal. Kids or smaller adults for ok, but larger adults... should really only put one back there. Next spring will include a soft top replacement ($2K). Seems like the previous owner did a hand made repair. Overall, including purchase, currently $6,600 and including next year's soft top, $8,600 into the car.
