10 Biggest News Stories of the Month: Acura ADX Enters, Honda Accord Endures

The 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show wrapped up this past Sunday, but interest in the all-new vehicles on display there showed no signs of slowing, with Cars.com’s straight-from-the-exhibit-floor coverage comprising about a third of our monthly countdown of most read articles. Leading off the L.A. love is the 2025 Acura ADX, the all-new subcompact SUV that provides shoppers with a new entry point to the Honda luxury brand’s lineup.

Based on Honda’s HR-V but showing Integra-ty when it comes to its all-the-way-Acura looks, the ADX impresses inside with much-appreciated physical climate controls as opposed to touch-sensitive ones, as well as an equally appreciated touchscreen infotainment system in place of the brand’s clunky touchpad setup. Also a relief is the potential for more power and sportiness courtesy of the turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine borrowed from the Integra, as well as the prospect of a more affordable price than the erstwhile-entry-level RDX compact SUV.

But if you still haven’t acquiesced to the SUV’s supplanting of the sedan body style, you’ll definitely want to head farther down the list and check out our new-model-year report on the 2025 Honda Accord, the latest incarnation of the tried-and-true mid-size four-door. Apart from dropping the former EX trim in favor of a sportier SE trim among the Accord’s two gas-only versions, as well as upgraded standard goodies for both all-gas and hybrid variants, nothing of note changes for 2025 except pricing across the lineup, which sees increases ranging from $400 up to $760. The new Accord starts at $29,390 for the base LX and rises to $31,655 for the all-new EX, while the hybrid lineup starts at $34,750 for the Sport trim and graduates across three additional trims to a range-topping $40,395 for the Touring (all prices include a $1,095 destination charge).
