Our Expert's Take

The 2025 Honda Accord is a refined mid-size sedan offering a 192-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 204-hp hybrid. The hybrid is a standout, delivering an impressive EPA-rated combined fuel economy of up to 48 mpg. While the cabin is classy and has conveniences like standard rear USB-C ports, the base 7-inch touchscreen is small, and rear headroom is limited for tall adults. Read full review

Expert 2025 Honda Accord review

Our expert's take

Full article

What Is the 2025 Honda Accord?

The Honda Accord is a five-seat mid-size sedan with refined driving manners and excellent fuel economy in a sleek and understated shape. Standard in the LX and new-for-’25 SE trims is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that sends 192 horsepower to the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission. Higher trims — namely the Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and Touring — are fitted with a hybrid powertrain that consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, two electric motors and the CVT.

The hybrid Accord produces 204 hp and accelerates smoothly, with no hesitation or odd transitions between gas and electric power. Most importantly, it returns an EPA-estimated 44 or 48 mpg in combined city and highway driving, depending on trim. Accord rivals include the Hyundai Sonata, Kia K5 and Toyota Camry.

What’s New on the 2025 Honda Accord?

The non-hybrid Accord’s EX trim is discontinued for 2025, with a sportier-looking SE trim taking its place. The SE features black exterior accents and 17-inch black alloy wheels, along with features from the 2024 EX, including heated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-speaker sound system and a moonroof.

Standard equipment is also upgraded across the lineup. All Accords now feature rear air conditioning vents and two USB-C ports for backseat passengers. All hybrid models now include heated front seats and a wireless phone charger, and the top Touring trim gets a standard heated steering wheel.

What Features in the 2025 Honda Accord Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 7-inch touchscreen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Four-speaker stereo
  • Automatic climate control
  • Cloth upholstery
  • Keyless entry
  • Push-button start
  • Remote start
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Lane-centering steering
  • Lane departure warning

Available features include:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Wireless charging pad
  • 12-speaker stereo
  • Dual-zone climate control
  • Satellite radio
  • Navigation
  • Leather seating
  • Power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Blind spot warning

Should I Buy the 2025 Honda Accord?

The Honda Accord is a smart choice and a worthy alternative to heavier, less agile and much less fuel-efficient SUVs. Fuel economy with the optional hybrid engine is superb; it’s the powertrain of choice — though the standard turbo-four is perfectly capable, too. Inside, Honda has created a cabin that’s classy and comfortable, with easy-to-reach controls and supportive seats. There are also some negatives, including the small 7-inch standard touchscreen and limited rear headroom for tall adults due to the Accord’s tapering roofline. Other than that, there’s little not to like (or love) about this value-packed sedan.

  • I purchased a 2025 Honda Accord and within the first year

I purchased a 2025 Honda Accord and within the first year the trunk has issues remaining closed, the car idles when going from park to drive, and the entertainment system has a mind of its own. It will not stay connected to Bluetooth, I am unable to change the audio output to the location I would like which requires a full disconnection from the system. There are other bugs that I am experiencing and have contacted Honda and received no true assistance. I took my vehicle to two Honda dealerships and only the trunk has partially been addressed because it would not close.

I had always heard very good things about Honda vehicles, and the Honda Accord especially. So when you went looking to trade in more old car, and was approved to get this excellently crafted vehicle, with all the bells and whistles, I was pleasantly impressed! I recommend the Honda Accord, and if you are in Central Texas/Greater Austin area, check out Round Rock Honda; ask for Trish and visit with Josh the Finance Manager.

Outstanding gas mileage, build quality is excellent, fully loaded trims. I suppose my only con is the absence of cooled seats on my EX-l. The sport trims looked nice, but I really don’t want to deal with 19 inch low profile tires in the city. Plus they get stolen often I heard.
