10 Biggest News Stories of the Week: Honda Accord Hybrid ‘Sips’ Past Honda Ridgeline, Nissan Titan

2020 Honda Accord Hybrid

Not much has changed since the redesign of the hybrid version of the best-selling Honda Accord sedan for the 2018 model year — and that’s a good thing. The 2020 Honda Accord Hybrid still gets a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good 48 mpg, besting most fuel-sipping rivals (except some versions of the Toyota Camry Hybrid) while remaining a relative bargain: It starts at just $26,400 with a destination charge, just $1,600 more than the regular Accord. Those are just two of the three things Cars.com’s Kelsey Mays said shoppers should know about the 2020 Accord Hybrid in this week’s most popular news article.

Nipping at its heels were a pair of pickup trucks, the 2019 Honda Ridgeline and the 2020 Nisan Titan, which topped our weekly roundup of truck news appearing on both Cars.com and sister site PickupTrucks.com. This week’s collection of headlines on all things pickups features Cars.com’s 2019 Mid-Size Truck Challenge results — in which we ranked four of the best pickups in the class, including the top-ranking Ridgeline, the second-place Ford Ranger, the third-place Jeep Gladiator and fourth-place GMC Canyon — as well as a quick rundown of what we knew about the redesigned-for-2020 Nissan Titan ahead of its unveiling last week.
