Still, formidable foes like the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 beat the Rogue to the punch with recent overhauls in a critical span of years, right in the thick of compact SUVs’ rise to market dominance — making the Rogue’s otherwise timely return seem somehow tardy. With the arrival of the new-for-2021 Rogue, the wait is officially over. Is it too little, too late, or better late than never?
