How Much Is the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado?

Since redesigning the Colorado for the 2023 model year, Chevrolet has been winnowing the mid-size pickup truck’s powertrain portfolio. Its turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine was initially available in three tunes, then reduced to two for 2024, and for 2025 is only available in the highest output configuration. Every Colorado now makes 310 horsepower and 430 pounds-feet of torque, gains of 73 hp and a tremendous 170 pounds-feet over the 2024 model’s base engine. For 2025, the Colorado starts at $33,495 (all prices include $1,595 destination fee). And while the truck’s base price initially appears to have increased $2,100 from 2024, it is only $815 more expensive than last year’s Colorado was when spec’ed with the then-optional high-output engine.

Other updates to the Colorado for 2025 are less broadly impactful. A Midnight Edition for the trio of off-road trim levels (Trail Boss, Z71 and ZR2) adds a bed-mounted sports bar with a 40-inch off-road light bar, a power distribution box and an accessory switch kit, as well as black badging and wheels. The Custom Package now available for the entry-level WT trim is similar, including black badging and wheels, but without the other bits. Three new colors join the palette, as well: Sunrise Orange, Reef Blue Metallic and Snowdrift Metallic.

What Are the 2025 Colorado’s Trim Levels?
On a Chevy truck, WT stands for “Work Truck,” and so the entry-level Colorado is a basic package aimed at buyers who need a pickup to use as a tool. It rides on 17-inch steel wheels and has cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats and single-zone climate control. All Colorados are built with the same basic tech package, however, so even the WT has keyless entry and start, six speakers, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Chevrolet fits every 2025 Colorado with a comprehensive suite of safety tech, too. Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup and includes forward collision alert with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane departure steering assist, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Also standard is the Safety Package, which includes blind spot intervention, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and rear parking sensors. Optional equipment includes adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitors with extended coverage for towing.
Chevrolet dresses up the exterior of the LT with a body-color front bumper and painted door handles (instead of the WT’s naked black plastic pieces), plus 17-inch aluminum wheels. The LT also gains a dampened tailgate for easier lowering and raising, as well as a built-in storage box the brand calls StowFlex. It also adds some basic comfort features, including remote start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.
4WD is standard from the Trail Boss on up the Colorado ladder. The Trail Boss rides on a 2-inch suspension lift and black 18-inch wheels wearing 32-inch all-terrain tires. Its off-road usability is further boosted by a locking rear differential, hill-descent control, black fender flares and recovery hooks. A standard towing package includes an integrated trailer brake controller.
The Z71 takes a statelier approach to off-roading, doing away with the showy plastic fender trim and riding about a half inch lower than the Trail Boss. It adds full LED exterior lighting, synthetic leather upholstery, a manual tilt/telescoping steering wheel, wireless device charging and a bed-mounted 120-volt outlet.
For maximum capability, the Colorado ZR2 is raised another inch over the Trail Boss, riding 3 inches higher than a 4WD LT on black-and-gold 17-inch wheels wrapped in 33-inch mud tires. It also features trick Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve shock absorbers that help balance the ZR2’s high-riding stance with on-road performance and a locking front differential. Unique front and rear bumpers complete the look, while perforated leather, ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel keep occupants comfortable on long wanders.
It’s not technically a trim level, but the AEV Bison Edition is a noteworthy upgrade to the ZR2. It overhauls the Colorado with extensive underbody skid plate protection, stamped-steel front and rear bumpers, 35-inch off-road tires and a bed-mounted full-size spare, as well as unique exterior and interior detailing.
