What’s the Best New-Car Deal for Memorial Day 2025?

Memorial Day sales have traditionally marked the advent of peak car-shopping season, but in contrast to the state of the automotive union this time a year ago, deals are substantially less hot than the backyard grill you neglected all winter. With the industry still working through its response to the ongoing changes to tariffs, many automakers have eased off incentives in the short term. That doesn’t mean there aren’t deals to be had, however.

In anticipation of the tariffs taking effect, some automakers evidently were trying to get vehicles on lots beforehand. Per J.D. Power’s latest report, that resulted in there being a 21% year-over-year increase in inventory for April and days of supply up to 63 days during the same period, a seven-day increase from 2024. The frequent changes to tariff laws and what effect that has on both supply and incentives is ongoing, but below are three cash-back deals you’re guaranteed to see through the end of the month.

2025 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

  • Factory discount: $0-$4,500
  • Approximate price after savings: $48,500-$60,000
  • Approximate factory savings: 0%-8%
  • Offer ends: June 2

Chrysler pared down its Pacifica lineup for 2025 both on the gas and plug-in hybrid side of things, but the family hauler has some of the better deals currently available atop what the brand already claims is employee pricing — if you’re not specifically looking for the FAV Edition, which doesn’t have any incentives online (but might if you go in and talk to your local dealer). Most regions we surveyed offered $2,500 off, but a few have $4,500 off; in lieu of cash back, financing is available at 0% for 72 months (again, for all but the FAV Edition). All such offers end June 2.

2025 Hyundai Tucson

  • Factory discount: $1,750
  • Approximate price after savings: $28,500-$40,500
  • Approximate factory savings: 4%-6%
  • Offer ends: June 2

The 2025 Tucson placed well in our most recent compact SUV comparison, and it’s also earned a coveted Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, so in arguably the most competitive class in U.S. automaking, Hyundai holds its own. It can’t hurt that in all regions we surveyed, the Tucson also is currently available with $1,750 cash back, resulting in savings as high as 6% off a bare-bones SE trim. Alternatively, shoppers can find financing of 3.99% for 72 months available across the board, as well. Such offers end June 2.

Editor’s Pick: 2025 Nissan Rogue Rock Creek

  • Factory discount: $2,750-$3,750
  • Approximate price after savings: $31,000-$33,500
  • Approximate factory savings: 8%-10%
  • Offer ends: June 2

Speaking of our compact SUV comparison test, it turns out the winning nameplate also has perhaps the best offer we saw in our research. Alas, the caveat is that offers of up to 10% off are only available on the off-road-oriented Rock Creek trim. Still, such savings are atop rates that were already down across the lineup from 2024, so even if soft-roading isn’t your look, the 2025 Rogue is worth investigating if a compact SUV is potentially in your future. Cash back aside, financing offers of either 2.9% for 36 months or 3.9% for 60 months are available for the entire Rogue lineup. As with the others, these offers end June 2.

How We Look for Deals

To help car shoppers find the best deals for Memorial Day 2025, we lead with cash offers available to shoppers at large, not those that require financing with the automaker or having certain qualifications (e.g., military or college-graduate discounts, loyalty or conquest bonuses, etc.). In calculating the overall percentage discount and pricing after incentives, we focus on the vehicle’s price range from the cheapest incentives-eligible trim level with no factory options to the priciest eligible trim with all factory options. We include the destination charge in such pricing, but we exclude a few other items: taxes and fees, which vary considerably by region, and dealer accessories, which vary considerably by automaker.

Because these are factory discounts, they should be available to all participating dealers. As such, use them as the starting point for negotiations, not a reason to skip haggling altogether.

Incentives data come from automakers’ websites. Remember, our numbers are current as of publication for the markets we survey (generally Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles and New York). They reflect advertised customer discounts, not unadvertised factory-to-dealer cash. Discount financing typically requires qualifying credit, too, and incentives may vary by region and trim level; automakers may also change them later in the window of relevance. In sum: Your discounts may vary, so check with your local dealer for specifics.
