I contacted the dealership about a white BMW i4 eDrive40
I contacted the dealership about a white BMW i4 eDrive40 with red interior for sale Friday, March 28th in the afternoon a listing I found on CarGurus. They said the car was there. I said I will be there that night or in the morning to purchase the car. I came by the same night at 8:15 after speaking with Edi Gasser, when I got there EDI never came out and left me in the lobby for about 15 minutes. Then I was told they can't find the key to the car, and a guy named Ray was showing me the car on the 3rd floor but again no key, couldn't test drive the car, but I was ready to purchase already pre-approved. I said I will be back the following day (March 29th) when they find the keys to make the purchase. Ray goes on and on about how much I am going to love the car, I said cool we shake hands I said see you tomorrow. They called me 3 times in the morning and texted me multiple times saying when I am coming in, I called back and I said I will be there around 1pm, I was just going to pick up my check. At 12:50pm someone else called and said are you still coming in, I said yes, just a little after one around 1:30 or so. I came in the dealership around 1:35pm with check in hand, as I walked in they said the sold the car! I was shocked, like how did you sale a car I am into purchase the day before but couldn't because you couldn't find the keys?!?! They said some lady can in looking for that car specifically and they couldn't hold an advertised car.... I said I came in the day before looking for this car specifically so how am I any different, if anything I should have priority since the mistake the first day was on their end. They said oh because you weren't here at 1pm we had to sale the car. I said I spoke to someone at 12:50pm and let them know I was still coming, and they didn't even have the common courtesy to call and say hey we are selling the car. I showed up and found out. Now the car was already gone when I showed up, sale was already completed, which means they started the process to sale the car well before 1pm. I was shocked and disappointed, it feels discriminatory what they did. Then they act like it's no big deal, but it is because I am in a rental, I turned in the rental only to have to pick it back up again because they decided they would sale a car I went to purchase to someone else because they couldn't find the keys when I came into purchase the car. Now it makes me think were the keys ever lost and they were holding it for the other person or did they just not want to sale me the car. I can tell you this for sure, I did not feel welcomed or feel like I was taken serious because they never offered anything other than just come back the next day for their mistake they made and lack of professionalism.
