PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!

Let’s start at the beginning… A west-coast dealership sold me a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Latitude with the 3.2L V6 a number of years back. That was while we were living in the Seattle area. The vehicle has been without a doubt, the best, most reliable vehicle I have had in nearly 50 years. It just keeps on keeping on! Then we moved to Montana. One cold -20F day I discovered that some idiot in Seattle had sold me a vehicle without a block heater! Obviously that dude had not lived outside of the Seattle area!!! With a four-year-old battery, the lack of a block heater was proving to be an issue. I made a call to Tim in the Lithia Great Falls parts department to get a block heater. The plan was to install it myself, since I’ve done this stuff for a very long time. He was great and was able to source the heater & cable. Well, it’s twenty below outside so I asked about how much to get it installed, since the installation looked rather complex. This is where the fun really starts. I got hold of the service department to see about getting it installed. Remember, it’s twenty below. The price for installing it was about three times what I had expected. It turns out that it would take several hours to install and it was a real pain in the backside. In other words, it’s time to part with some bucks. Remember, it’s twenty below. The day of installation: My wife has some mobility issues that require a wheelchair. The folks in the service department were nothing short of incredible. They made sure my wife could get situated in the waiting area without having to get down some very awkward stairs. The work started. NEVER GET A VEHICLE WITHOUT A BLOCK HEATER; EVER!!!!!!!!! IT’S AN OPTION YOU SHOULD NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED!!! ALWAYS CHECK!!! The work took about twice as long as anyone had ever thought and ended up being the stuff of nightmares to any mechanic. Throughout the entire process the folks in the service department were EXCEPTIONAL at keeping us apprised of the work progress. They made sure that we were fully caffeinated and comfortable as we watched other customers come & go. I heard that the fellow tasked with the installation worked through his lunch break to get us out as quickly as possible. To this fellow, a HUGE THANK YOU!!! Then the good news… the job was completed and it as time to leave. Everyone was hugely apologetic for the length of time for the installation. It took much longer than any of us had anticipated. The price of the installation was probably about 30% to 40% of what it would have been back on the west coast. EVERY ONE of the folks we interacted with at the store were AWESOME! I have never had so many doors opened for us, seen so many smiles from the associates and seen so many happy customers in all my years of driving vehicles. So let’s run the numbers: great customer service + great associates in the store + great value + great overall customer experience ————————— = AN INCREDIBLY HAPPY CUSTOMER ————————— A great big “Thank You” to everyone and you can bet we’ll be seeing you again.
