My daughter's Monday started very badly. Her 2013 Honda Pilot had to be towed to your dealership service department. A young man named Chris (I don't see him pictured) met us and just took care of everything. We knew it was going to be an expensive fix, there was no way around that, but your service department was absolutely outstanding. I cannot say enough good things about how they treated my daughter. She says her car drives like new again. As a result, she told me that, when the time comes, she is buying her next vehicle at McLarty Honda. I told her I would most definitely never buy another vehicle without coming to you first. GREAT job, and I don't know the names of the techs, but they were awesome. Poor management
Here is my experience with this dealership. I submitted an inquiry on cars.com asking if they ship out of state (I specified state and city – about 480 miles distance). To my surprise I got a response the same evening even though it was about 8pm. I was asked for the phone number (which I provided) and was told that a sales person will contact me. Next morning, I got a call and apparently, I caught the guy completely by surprise that the car needs to be shipped. He said he needs to talk to manager and he will get back to me on this. After a few hours of no response, I sent a message asking to answer this simple yes/no question. The response was – yes, I was told how much it cost to ship (close to what I expected) and we switched to financing. I said I’m ready to pay any way they prefer just provide me with instructions. He said, a manager will call me. A while after this, I got a message saying that he thought he was selling new car, but used cars they do not ship. I have no problem, with the fact that dealership has no out of state delivery for whatever cars they think they cannot ship. Just answer so on the first inquiry and save everybody’s time. Actually, I do not even blame this person who apparently has no clue what he is selling and needs to consult with manager on every step or the assistant who responds on e-mails. I think the guilty party here is dealership management. Clearly, they cannot organize basic things like proper response on customers questions. They use nation-wide web site and yet their staff is not prepared or has no authority not to answer questions about shipping. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this to save cars.com customers some time.
