never go there again

I would not recomend Bob Ruth Ford. Was there for over 4 hours, got car from good luck lot. was showed a list of items found by their machenics. when taken to garage to be looked over, had over 1,500 bill for repairs that needed to be done.

Hello, we're sorry your shopping experience on our vehicles being sold "As-Is" did not meet with your expectations. They are clearly marked and marketed as "As-Is" units. These wholesale units are only given a safety check and any repairs needed to pass a PA inspection are listed in the disclosure booklet that is signed by the buyer at the time of the sale and are the buyer's responsibility. These vehicles are not for every buyer and we attempt to be as upfront and transparent as possible when selling these units.

Worst car dealership in PA

I went to Bob Ruth Ford to get a used Volkswagon Jetta Wolfsburg edition. Now going in there I knew it was used, and would need some work. I do not remember the guys name who sold me the car, but when i got there he was very friendly. I didnt realize how fake he was until later on. Anyhow he took me out showed me the car. While out there i told him flat out that I understand the car is used and will need work, i just want to know what all it's going to need. His response was that all it will need is new wiper blades and that it had been serviced there in there garage. I was impressed then, thinking all it needed was a new set of wipers, but then came the test drive. We went for a ride and the first thing that i wasn't happy with was that I had to turn the wheel with alot of strength. I asked him and he said that it did not have power steering. I hadnt at the time drove a car without power steering so i didn't even realize what the real problem was I just took his word on it. The car also shook a bunch as well. His response to that was that it will stop after its been driven more since it was sitting for awhile. After the ride we went in i bought it in full as-is. While doing the paperwork inside, right outside the glass doors the gentlemen who sold me the car was having a shoving match with another co-worker of his, both about to throw fists, all because the other guy wanted to sell the car and the guy who showed me the car sold it to me. it was broken up then and I finished up the paperwork. Now when i got outside to drive my new purchase home I went to turn my lights on and I had to flick them on and off at least 5 times to get them on. Halfway home my lights went out completely. the next morning when i was going to drive to get the lights fixed the car wouldn't even start. i had to jump it every time for the next 4 days any time i had to go somewhere. on the 5th day after i bought it, it wouldn't even start with the jump. I had a buddy come over and take a look at it and give me the correct diagnosis of what was wrong with it. Well, i found out then it needed a new battery, alternator, spark plugs, wires, brakes, lights, just about everything in the car was shot. My spoiler was also chopped up, the worst I've ever seen one. I texted the guy who sold it to me then, asking if there was anything they could do or if he could point me in the right direction to get this fixed. He replied saying that it's as-is nothing they can do, and that i better crack open my piggy bank and start researching. I have never been so disrespected in my entire life from any salesman. My aunt then called him, who is the sweetest kindest person I know, and he proceeded to scream at her and almost made her cry. The whole ordeal just makes me sick to my stomach. this was the 1st car i ever bought and i went to a big dealership who had such a good reputation, i thought that they would take care of their customers. I don't know to much about cars, its just never been my thing, so i was truley expecting some help and guidance, and i could of been a lifetime customer, but after this I just want anyone who reads this to know not to go here to Bob Ruth Ford. There not there to help you they just want to rob you of your money. As Americans we work hard to earn our money, and to buy ourselves the things we want and need, this kind of service is unacceptable. Go anywhere but here, if you don't want to waste your money, save yourself the headache. I give this place a negative 5 stars, and for the gentlemen who sold me the car.. biggest xxxxxxx alive, you have no right to call yourself a salesman, your a dirty thief. Stay away from this place.

Thanks for making the buying process easier than I thought it would be. I expected to be there all day and it only took a few hours to get everything done and get me back on the road. I will be telling all my friends about how easy it was to buy my car. Thanks again for all your help!

NO RETURN!!!!

I sent them an email about a vehicle four days ago and even doubled up on another email, still no return to this day. I am pretty sure it would take a great deal of compensation on there half for me to buy a vehicle from them. I am very disappointed.

WAY, Over Priced!!

Bob Ruth Ford DOES NOT try to satisfy the customer. They don/t respond to emails or return phone calls. I will NEVER EVER recommend this dealership to anyone! I will make sure that everyone knows how horrible there customer service is and how they do NOT try to satisfy the customer. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!

Awesome team and Great experience!

After a TERRIBLE experience at McCafferty Ford, my wife and I bought a 2011 Ford Explorer at Bob Ruth Ford. Dennis Mitchell was terrific as our salesman and everything about the buying experience was outstanding. We will be Bob Ruth Ford customers for LIFE and I encourage all my friends in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas to seek Dennis out when buying a vehicle. When you are told at one dealership "this is the best we can do" and Bob Ruth got us MORE for LESS, I wish I had only gone to Bob Ruth. While waiting to get our deal done, I watched all the other transactions on the sales floor. Everyone that was there both on Wednesday night and Thursday night was being helped and was happy with how they were treated. Other car dealers can learn from Bob Ruth Ford... just treat people they way they deserve to be treated and be straight with them. Stop "selling" and start "helping"! My wife and I are eternally grateful for Dennis, BJ and the team at Bob Ruth Ford. Thank you very much!

STILL WAITING FOR FLOORMATS

Almost 2 months ago I called to order floormats for my RV which sits on a FORD E-450 chassis. After hearing 'RV', Jimmy in parts fluffed me off, but said he'd make a call. He actually called back the next day and said he could get the floormats I wanted and would have them for me 'tomorrow'. Well 2 months later I'm still waiting for tomorrow. Found the floormats I needed online and got for $10 cheaper than Bob Ruth (even with Shipping). Never got any call back on my mats. If they can't get floormats right, hate to see how they handle vehicle purchases. I'll certainly never buy anything there.

Good Experience!

Welcomed at the door by a salesman who help us find find a car that was affordable. I'm glad we made the drive down to Dillsburg.

bate and switch

Put a reasonsble price car on the internet. Only to find out its been sold. And try to sell you something else that is more money. They do not take down REASONALE PRICED sold cars off the net after it been sold.

Dear Customer, All of our vehicles get processed off our web sites when the deals are booked. This process can take up to 72 hours depending on the time of the sale. Sales that take place on a Saturday for instance have a longer delay as we are closed for business on Sundays. We make every effort to book our deals as fast as possible. Once a vehicle is marked sold in the system it takes another 24- 48 hours to push that update to all our web sites and host sites like the site you wrote this review on.
