Principle Toyota in Memphis

I have been getting parts and service from Principle since my 1989 Performance Toyota Supra. Jim was a great person to serve the public. He was always knowledgeable and personable with every transaction. I think that he should be honored in some tangible way so that his friends on the other side of the counter can express their sentiments in his loss. He is a parts legend and will be fondly remembered.

My husband & I had gone just to look to see what Tacoma trucks they had & prices. Jeremy Martin met us on the lot an d really listened to what we were looking for, which they didn't have available at the time. We started talking prices about a truck that would be coming in a couple of weeks. He worked really hard to get the price that we wanted. We were extremely satisfied with all of Jermey's hard work effort on our behalf.

I have been wanting a mid-size truck for a few years and after researching the market decided on a Tacoma. We bought a Highlander in August 2018 from Andy Fong and it was a great experience, so I met with Andy in December for a test drive. I told him I wasn’t in a position to make the purchase that day but he took the time to explain the features of the models I was interested in and set up the test drives. Andy was very accommodating, knowledgeable and did not try to pressure me, which I greatly appreciated. I saw a model on their website in January that I was interested in, called Andy for an appointment and negotiated an out the door price over the phone. When we arrived at the dealer he had all the paperwork ready for signatures, and the truck cleaned, full tank of gas and ready to go. Andy took the time to go through all the bells and whistles and explained and demonstrated the technology which saved me hours of reading the manuals. Great job Andy! It was also a pleasure to work with Peter Butler again on the financial side. Ps; We also like Todd Lochner’s commercials!

My wife and I each bought a car within one month of each other from Principle Toyota. She got a Corolla first and then I got a Camry a month later. We love both cars. More than that, we had an extraordinarily good experience buying both cars from this dealership. Everyone was friendly and transparent as we went through each step of the car buying process. Our salesman, Andy Fong, was without a doubt, the very best. I told Andy when we first met that I was not a quick decision-maker and I did not want him to pressure me or pester me with texts and emails and phone calls. He completely respected that and was more than helpful whenever I reached out. He took his time with both my wife and me, he was very knowledgeable and if he did not know an answer he found it out right away. He is an impressive guy – smart, incredible work ethic and very personable. Most importantly, I trusted him and would highly recommend him to anyone in the area looking for a car. Jeff Larson, the general manager, bent over backwards to be helpful and to cut us a great deal on both cars. He also tracked down the exact Camry I wanted (I had a specific color with certain features in mind that was difficult to find). Jeff found it and had it for me in short order. Jeff was above board, honest, and tried hard to please. I never felt pressured or made to feel like I was not getting a fair shake. Our final stop at the dealership was to see Peter Butler, the finance manager. He was very clear on every detail, was organized, and efficient. It was a pleasure to work with him. This was the perfect trifecta. One final note: when we started shopping for both cars, we went to another Toyota dealership in Memphis that was a bit bigger and where we thought we would get a good deal. NOT! It was a super-negative experience every step of the way. High-pressure tactics, lack of concern about what we wanted, overly aggressive and often rude salespeople. It was the total opposite from the service we received at Principle. Thanks to Andy, Jeff, Peter and the entire Principle Toyota team for making our dual car-buying adventure a great one in every way.

Wonderful experience. Mr. Melton is a super man to talk with and deal with for a quality auto. I will recommend friends and family talk to him first.

Poh was so helpful and we never once got frustrated. For a car-buying experience it was efficient and I ended up with my dream car at a great deal. Thank you, Poh! Peter was also very helpful and explained everything thoroughly!

Poh is amazing to work with. We landed on a good deal without having to haggle. Hopefully I will not beed a new car in the near future but when I do, I know where I am going. Peter Butler also receives a glowing recommendation from me. Easy to work with. He actually walked me through the steps of warranty without feeling like a hard sell. He respected my decisions and got me out the door within my budget AND while protecting my investment.

Very easy to deal with. Everyone was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I did not feel pressured and feel like I great car. Would definitely recommend Principle Toyota.

Poh Ng did an awesome job. She was professional and to the point. The rest of the staff was friendly. It was the best vehicle buying experience we ever had for sure!!!
