Great Experience!
I purchased a used car on 7/1 from Ed Okin and the experience was very smooth. I am very happy with the vehicle and I would recommend Al Packer tp anyone looking for a new or used car. Ed Okin made me feel comfortable and explained the process step by step. It was something I was dreading and he made the experience very comfortable. The manager did my finances and he was fast and great also. Thanks!

UPDATE to June 9, 2014 Review
A few days after posting my review and comments regarding my experience with Al Packer Ford West Palm Beach (and Al Packer Ford White Marsh, Maryland) I received a call from Gary Weil, General Manager at West Palm Beach. Gary called to let me know that my review on Cars.com was brought to his attention and that he was calling to let me know of his concern, and that he was personally committed "to make things right" and to see that we were completely satisfied from this point forward with Al Packer Ford West Palm Beach. Gary apologized for the way things had been handled and let me know that Al Packer Ford WPB would make the needed paint repair to the roof and that we would be very happy and satisfied with the result. I thanked Gary for his call, his apology and commitment to our satisfaction, and told Gary I would get back to him. To my pleasant and unexpected surprise, Gary did not wait for me to get back to him, he called the very next day to follow-up and to see when I wanted to bring the Explorer in for the paint repair. I thanked Gary for his follow-up call and repeated some of my concerns and frustrations with Ford Mo Co and the Maryland dealership, and also for having a matching White Platinum paint repair on a brand new Explorer. Gary was patient and listened to all that I had to say, and repeated his commitment to our complete satisfaction and his personal involvement to make things right. Since I had several questions about the repair and process, I emailed Gary and quickly received a call back from him with an offer to personally meet with him, Scott (body shop manager) and Joe (lead painter who would make the paint repair) to discuss the repair and process and answer all of my questions. I took Gary up on his offer and met with Gary, Scott and Joe. I came away from the meeting and conversation very impressed with their professionalism, commitment to our complete satisfaction and dedication to make a high quality and matching paint repair. We dropped off the Explorer and had it back in two days with a beautifully painted and matched White Platinum roof. After a bad start, the end result of the paint work and how the issue has been addressed has far exceeded our expectations. Gary Weil deserves the recognition and credit for his leadership and for taking ownership of a problem (not of his doing) and for personally seeing it through to a completely satisfactory conclusion. Gary worked hard to build a trusting relationship between us and Al Packer Ford West Palm Beach, and he did so sincerely and honestly with actions to back back up his words. I want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to Gary Weil, Scott Kendig and Joe for their personal involvement and commitment to customer satisfaction and delivery of a high quality paint repair. Al Packer Ford WPB is where we will go from now on for service and to purchase our next Ford.

Great Deal
Let me start by telling you I trust and count on my Ford Dealer for Repairs and Maintainance. I use them because I believe they are competative and you can always question them if you have an issue with the vehical or the cost of repairs. I receintly bought a new 2014 Taurus from Al Packer West, I started on the internet looking for blue book Values and it generated responces from Al Packer and others. Because I was an online prospect I would receive 8000 dollars off list price. So I went to Al Packer and was directed to Mike Blinder. I met with Mike Blinder, a likeable guy. He helped me negociate a great deal and was they for the long haul, after much back and forth, I bought the Taurus and am very pleased with the experience.

Pleasant Buying Experience
On June 19th I went to Al Packer Ford to lease my second car from them. I previously leased a 2013 Ford Focus SE sedan in Sept 2012. I traded in that car for a new 2014 Ford Focus SE hatchback. Ed Okin was my salesman the first time and he was very pleasant to work with. He followed up with me numerous times after my first lease to make sure that I was satisfied with my car. I made an appointment with him to lease my second car. It was nice to have a preestablished relationship instead of having to start from scratch. I had an excellent buying experience once again. Ed Okin pulled out all the stops to get me the price I was looking for. When my current lease is up I will once again go to Al Packer Ford and I hope to work with Ed Okin once again.

Unprofessional -- Don't Respond
Review applies to Al Packer Ford White Marsh MD and West Palm Beach FL. Purchased a 2014 Explorer at Al Packer Ford White Marsh because they had the vehicle with the options I wanted in stock. Dealer advertised a misleading internet sales price which included rebates and incentives which I did not qualify to receive. This information however was not provided to me until I was at the dealer, even though I emailed the salesman and asked the salesman to confirm the sale price before driving 60 miles to the dealer, who then explained the difference in pricing. I was however able to negotiate a satisfactory price since I had done extensive research on pricing for this vehicle. I took delivery and a few days later drove to Florida. A week after having the Explorer, I washed the vehicle and discovered paint damage on the roof -- paint was missing and primed metal was showing. I immediately emailed the salesman and business manager informing them of the paint issue and asked them to contact their sister dealership in West Palm Beach, FL. and get back to me with contact information and how to proceed. I still have not heard from anyone at Al Packer Ford White Marsh. I then went to Al Packer Ford West Palm Beach and spoke with the assistant service manager who inspected the damage and told me that this type of paint damage is covered for 12 months and to go to the body shop. I went to the body shop and filled out a form to start the repair process. The office manager said she would get back to me the next day. Did not receive any call back and I called and left several messages and emails and did not receive any response. I called repeatedly until I got through to the office manager who told me that Ford denied the claim. I asked the office manager why was claim denied since Ford's warranty guide states that Ford's policy is to make this type of repair for 12 months. She did not answer my question and I was then told they were contacting Al Packer Ford White Marsh and would get back to me in a couple of days. Still have not received any call back or email regarding the paint issue from either dealer. I then contacted Ford Customer Service in writing from the Ford website providing the detailed history and still have not heard from Ford either. It is disgraceful that both of the Al Packer dealerships and Ford too have not responded and will not honor their warranty.

Based on reading your review it sounds like there was a lack of communication about pricing and the warranty for the paint repair. Although, we were not involved directly (besides being a Al Packer store) we tried to help you out a Ford customer first by having our body shop putting in a claim that Ford denied and then finally our GM, Gary Weil getting involved and fixing your truck. We do apologize that you had a negative experience at White Marsh and ask that you update your review with a more accurate assessment of our involvement in this unfortunate situation as this is the Cars.com review page for Al Packer in West Palm Beach. DO NOT USE AL PACKER AVOID
Brought new vehicle in under warranty on holiday week. Told to come back following monday for full week. Did so first thing and vehicle sat anyway and still has not been touched more than four days later, meaning they lied about short week. No contact from them still. Brand new vehicle fully covered, so they say, but warranty doesnt do much good if the dealer wont perform obligations.

Great Buying Experience
this is my third car lease at al packer. i return because the staff present a buying experience that is buyer friendly, listen to my preferences and fill that need. ed okin guides me through the process by narrowing the selection explaining in by having a tremendous knowledge of the vehicles and an infinite patience has made the paperwork has made adds explaining the new electronics and performing driving improvements. packer management adds a more time saving paper work experience. ed okin makes this easy and i will be back for my next lease.

Best car buying experience EVER
I went to Al Packer Ford in West Palm Beach after leaving a different dealership very unhappy. I was pleasantly surprised with how knowledgeable and friendly everyone was at Al Packer, but especially ED OKIN. He did all my paperwork for my trade and my new car faster than anyone has ever done it (and I've purchased a lot of cars). But, there is one thing he did that has never been done before that will definitely bring me back to Al Packer?he called my insurance company and switched over my auto insurance for me!! I was amazing by the extra few minutes he put in to save me from having to do it myself. Ed Okin went above & beyond for me, and I will forever be grateful.
