Car buying experience.

Very good experience. Our sales person was Brad Geegan. Very friendly and very informative of the car we were purchasing. Took the time after purchase to set up our phones and show us how to use many of the features on the car.

Very Satisfied Customer

My first encounter with Napleton of Urbana was in late spring 2017. I was in the market for a Mazda 3 and a Mazda CX5. As I had purchased and serviced all of my prior vehicles for over 48 years with a small dealer who was a high school classmate, I had very high standards for personal service and customer care. Thus the first representative I contacted was Josh Berbaum in the service department. He willingly made time to discuss my expectations of future dealings with the service department. I found him very approachable, understanding and professional. Satisfied with that encounter, I next met a sales rep, Cody Gagnon. At the outset I told him he would not be selling me a car that day, yet he cheerfully made various vehicles available to me and answered my many questions as I measured cargo space and carrying capacities. Subsequently I dealt also with Brandon Davis as I continued to evaluate the cars. Mr. Davis suffered pleasantly through many test drives and answered more questions. All this time both reps were clear that I was looking at a two car or none deal and they did not have what I wanted on the lot. Enter their associate, Levi Miller. The three of them worked tirelessly for weeks trying to acquire what I wanted. And they succeeded perfectly. On June 14, 2017, I purchased both cars, the Mazda 3 and the CX5. Mr. William ?Billy? Sweet was very easy to deal with at closing knowing that the purchase was a cash deal with no prospect of the money normally made on a loan. When I raised questions at some of the ?add-ons? he was most accommodating in giving me plenty of time to research items before committing to buying. As part of the package, dealer installed fog lights were added to the M 3. Mr. Gagnon saw that process through and Mr. Berbaum once again proved a quality manager in the service department. Kudos also go to Sabreena Ekstrom and Courtney regarding scheduling and customer care. So in summary, three months on, I am very satisfied with the vehicles, the service and the customer follow up that these people have provided. They have given me great confidence in Napleton of Urbana as new partner in car ownership. While Napleton of Urbana is a very large operation, it feels like my very personal small town dealer.

Idris McPherson is the BEST!

I have leased or purchased my last three cars in 5 years from Idris McPherson. He is THE BEST! I always go in and leave with my new favorite car! Idris is the MAN!

Just leased my first VW!!! And, I couldn't be more IMPRESSED! Not only is the car awesome, but the service I had was incredible. Idris McPherson, my salesman, was outstanding. Knowledgeable about virtually every aspect of the car I leased (VW Golf AllTrack). I never felt rushed or pressured at any moment. I test drove a couple vehicles, asked a ton of questions, and he was patient the entire time. Be sure to visit Idris at Napleton's for your next car purchase or lease!

2018 Santa Fe

Great service and sales staff. Car was delivered earlier than promised. Sales kept in touch daily to let me know where the transport truck was and when it should be at the dealership.

Good review

Very good purchasing experience. Longtime Sonata owner, can't thing of any other car I would purchase. Service department has always made it easy to schedule work and had car done when promised.

Excellent buying experience, no high pressure sale

People are always quick to write negative reviews, and I admit to sorting reviews to read the "bad" first when making a purchasing decision for something. But I also weigh the bad against the good. Since I rely on reviews for all kinds of things, I think it's important (perhaps more so) to share positive experiences as well. I had an excellent buying experience with Idris at Napleton's Auto Park in Urbana. Even though I have owned 3 Volkswagens previously, I wanted to be sure there wasn't a different vehicle that would better suit my needs (which was ultimately overruled by my wants, but that's another story... See below :) ). I asked to test drive more than 10 different vehicles at Napleton's, including almost every other make they sell! He was patient and spent a significant amount of time with me to make sure I was given all of the choices/options I was looking (or thought I might be looking) for. Even though he's a VW representative and sales manager, he is knowledgeable about the other makes on Napleton's lots as well. When I had specific questions about another make, he usually had the answer, but would find out the answer if he didn't readily know. He went above and beyond what is probably expected of a stereotypical car salesman, particularly since I did ask to drive about 14 vehicles (no, sadly, I'm not exaggerating!). He is anything but a stereotypical salesman. In the end, I still bought a Volkswagen (2017 Beetle convertible - LOVE it - go talk to him to get your very own :) ). (Balancing want vs. need...) I couldn't be happier with my purchase and my purchase experience with Idris. It took me a couple of weeks to make a final decision. He was never pushy/aggressive and he wasn't out just to make a sale. He wanted me to be sure I was making the right choice for me - not for his paycheck. I highly recommend him (and Napleton's in general). In fact, I recommend him so strongly that I told a complete stranger to contact him when I was talking with them and learned they were new to the area and were in the market for a new car. They went to VW the next day and asked for him - and purchased a car! I had driven through all of the lots at Napelton's for a few weeks, looking at all of the different options. On every lot there was someone who would ask if I needed help. I had already established a working relationship with Idris. Even after letting other salesmen know that, they were all still friendly, answered questions if I had them, and no one was aggressive - even the "used car" salesmen. ;) As a related side note, I have been a Napleton's/O'Brien VW customer for 8+ years. I have always been treated well and fairly by not only the sales department, but service as well. Part of the reason (though perhaps small) I stayed with Volkswagen is because of my satisfaction with the service team.
