We have bought several cars over the years using the same Sales Representative Ryan Marshall at Skalnek Ford in Lake Orion. We are highly satisfied with his service he provides us. I have leased 3 Ford Edge's at Skalnek and will never go anywhere else! Donna Zanner (sales) is the best sales/service person I have seen at a dealership. I send her new customers all the time and they are always as pleased as I am!

Lease Mileage Overage
On a whim, I went into Skalnek to speak with a salesperson in regards to turning in my Lease early... 18 months early. When I originally leased my Explorer, I went to Dorian Ford (will never return again due to shady salespeople and no regards to anything but making money and referrals) and lived 2 miles from my work. Due to loss of my job and the starting of a new position 50 miles from my house, the mileage was racking up fast on my lease. Before I went over, I wanted to know my options. A week later I was pulling out of the lot in a new purchase, no need to stress about the miles, and not needing to pay my way out of my lease. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into one that has built a lifelong customer.

Absolutely love my new vehicle!
Lance was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, very personable and made the buying process of a used vehicle so easy. We called ahead after a very high recommendation to ask for Lance. And we are so glad we did. I researched vehicles online to see what was available in our price range. Even found a great site that even showed that the vehicle I was interested in was $2200 below market value. The vehicle we choose is like a brand new vehicle. Not only were we treated very well but we got a great deal on a wonderful certified used vehicle that is practically new. Will definitely be referring anyone I know to go there.

Customer service sucks in the service deparent
My ford truck sat in there parking lot all day by the dumpster in the back lot literally all day and I called all day long to see if my truck was done and I took the chance and had my wife take me up there at 4:30 pm and there it was still I'm the same place and never once did they call and tell me they couldn't finish my truck after dropping it off on a Monday and now it's Friday. They did not get it done either so I have to take it back Monday the horrible thing is that I have to take it back to them or I have to pay another deductible even though it was their fault it didn't get done after they said they would on Monday that it would be done on Friday. Allen admitted that my truck sat back there all day long ... I don't understand why you wouldn't call me and tell me to come get it or get if fixed . The customer service sucks I've never been treated so badly before and I think it's horrible that lake orion has only one ford dealership to deal with because that one is awful

Questionable Buying Experience
Follow up to my last reply after I wrote my reply, Skelnak Ford called and within one day had the car I wanted and I took delivery. It seemed the entire dealership worked to make it happen and Ryan Marshall did a great job and so did Rick. They turned a bad feeling to a great experience I will be back next time I need a car. Questionable buying experience
Went to buy a Focus Titanium had the exact car but the battery was dead the insides trashed and it had 230 miles they call this a new car said they could dealer trade for a car but I would need to put up 200.00 dollars Lost some of the new car buying experience

I'm sorry you had a bad experience, it isn't a totally weird thing for a new car to have a couple hundred miles on it, sometimes dealers trade cars and they are usually driven. They could have came from another state or way up north and could easily have 230 miles. As for the battery with the weather and people getting in out of cars it can kill a battery. Once again we are sorry you had a bad feeling and lost some of the fun of the new car buying experience.
Used car conundrum update
After my initial rant, and it was done purely out of frustration, I've decided to post an update. Lance and his team stepped up to the plate and delivered a home run! Lance was in direct contact with me, honored his word and made sure that my satisfaction was at the top of his list. I will be buying from Skalnek Ford again and especially from Lance!

Used car conundrum
Easter Sunday my wife and I pulled into the Used Car lot. There were only two Van's on the lot, one of which my wife loved immediately. The following day I did the online quick approval. Lance called me back and we set up a time to meet that night once I was off work. The van was everything we hoped for. The price was right what we wanted. We finalized the deal after closing time. Drove home in the new van, and suddenly the passenger rear sliding door won't close (it's electronic). I called Lance that night, he said to bring it in the next day. My wife drives it in to get looked at. Jake the service representative lubricated the mechanisms of the door, but didn't fix anything. Now day two of owning this van, the same door won't close! I call Lance who says to bring it up again tomorrow. At this point I'm ready to return it for my old van. Very disgruntled. I was sold something that doesn't work.
