Finding the right Explorer
I knew it would be a challenge finding the right new Explorer I wanted to purchase. Of course for what ever reason you didn't have a "Limited" model on the lot. But I gave our sales person a of lot of the credit. Took a couple of tries but finally he was able to come up with the right model and equipment I desired. Job well done. The color I ended up with actually turned out to be a much better looking combination than I originally started with. Bottom line he made it happen! Extremely please with the car! Had to knock a star off for the lack of inventory on the lot, excellence service by Ryan. Knocked a star off on the buying process again more because it took almost a week start to delivery. And Mr. Skalnek, time to spend a few bucks on the old dealership, it needs up dating...........

My sells rep worked very hard for us. It was very hard to find the vehicle that we wanted and the price we wanted it for. Other dealers were sent on a price but our girl went to bat with her boss to get the sale

Scott did an excellent job! He patiently answered all my questions and helped arrange for my own mechanic to come look at my truck! I was in a hurry once we had settled on price, and Scott once again came through and got everything finished up quickly!

We went into this dealership to price out a Ford Explorer...
We went into this dealership to price out a Ford Explorer for my wife. Kaycy came out onto the lot and gave us keys to one that they had there, and proceeded to let us know "this has 8 miles til empty so you'll have to keep your test drive short". Boy, what a nice first impression. We test drive the car, and bring it back, and proceed to tell Kaycy that we have a lease set to expire in Feb, and are pricing things out. She lets us know that they have a lease payoff incentive up to $1000 that can be applied. After that she gives us a rate quote for the vehicle, which wasn't terrible, however, that $1000 "incentive" is now applied to the bottom line, thereby negating any "incentive" we would get. She then pulls out an application and starts filling all of my wifes information in. I stopped her to let her know that we are pricing things out and are not prepared to walk out with a car today. She says "well you said the pricing was good, what are we waiting for?". Working in sales previously, this is absolutely the bottom feeders of the industry, the grimy, shady salesperson. I told her that I didn't appreciate how aggressive she was being, assuming the sale, and that we'd like to leave. She walks away and comes back a few minutes later, and disingenous apologizes for her aggressiveness then proceeds to give me a handshake that you'd expect fron Andre the Giant. Based on this experience, we will NEVER go back to this dealership, and will drive FURTHER to get this vehicle, just to ensure that she doesn't make a penny off of us.

Had to go find my own vehicle.
Had an appointment for an oil change today (10/15/2012). I was informed my vehicle was parked right outside the service area. However my vehicle wasn't there. Went back in and informed them that my car wasn't parked outside. The tech. failed to park my vehicle in the desinated and the service advisor was assisting another customer so I had to go out back, behind the dealership to find my vehicle. Once I did find my vehicle the tech left the dirty plastic car seat cover along with the dirty floor mat in the vehicle. I will say its not the Service Advisors fault (she was the only good experience)but the fault of the tech and the serivce manager in his office for not coming out to help customers.

Never Called Back!
I was looking to buy a used car from Skalnek Ford, so I talked to a sale person about buying a 2005 300C. I give my information for a credit check over the phone Saturday evening and he was suppose to call me back Monday to let me know if I could get the car. Monday came and went and I never heard back from the guy. This is not a way to do business. Even if I couldn't get the car I would had still like to know. Not Cool!

Yet another great experience with this dealer. My fusion...
Yet another great experience with this dealer. My fusion sunroof broke in the open position a couple of days ago as a storm was rolling in on my way home from work one morning. I called the service department and explained my situation. I was told to bring it right in and somebody would help me get it closed. They did not have time to make an appointment to get it fixed that day as they were booked up but the fact that they would take a few minutes out of their day to ensure my sunroof was closed on a rainy day made a world of difference. I tried asking the dealer in Rochester as I was passing them and was very rudely turned away in the rain. No matter what you need Skalnek is the place to be
