I bought my 2009 Jeep in 2011, and part of the deal was
I bought my 2009 Jeep in 2011, and part of the deal was free oil changes for as long as I owned the vehicle. I signed papers and more importantly, we shook hands. I still own and drive it every day and have been going there for oil changes exclusively since I bought it. I made an appointment for an oil change and when I went in today, 6/4/22, the guy at the service counter (I don't remember his name, let's call him Milke) said they were no longer honoring that deal. He said they emailed customers informing them of this. I did not get this email. I saw the signs about the price increases when I went in, but since mine are supposed to be free, I didn't think it applied to me. The guy at the counter said something to the effect that their lawyers determined that in NY the lifetime of a vehicle is 7 years, and they're not honoring my deal anymore, and it doesn't matter who I talk to because it won't change anything. Here's the truth, and feel free to tell me how right I am. When you sell a vehicle and offer free oil changes as long as the person owns it, the dealership is taking a risk. In their eyes it's a small risk, because very few people keep a vehicle that long or are driving the same vehicle 11 years later. Well I did and I am, so I win! As a matter of fact, you should be congratulating me and put my picture on a plaque in your service area so people can see that you sold a vehicle that's still running like a champ 11 years later. Instead, you back out of a deal because you think its ok, because you know most of the time someone's only recourse is a bad review on social media. Well if that's the case, there it is, there's my review. Bottom line? Until today, 5 stars, but they made a deal with me and broke it. 1 star all the way unless they make it right.

We apologize you are unhappy. We protected our oil change customers from oil change price increases for many years. Unfortunately due to rising petroleum prices, supply chain issues and price increases, and overall increasing costs, we could no longer sustain the oil change pricing or offers of the past. We apologize for the inconvenience.
You "protected" your oil change customers? No Transitowne, you just kept your part of the deal, which you aren't any longer. When you offered that deal, weren't increases in all of the above accounted for? I get it, you don't expect someone to be driving the same vehicle for that long, so you probably win on 99% of those deals, but that doesn't give you the right to just back out when the buyer wins because you think its ok! A deal is a deal and when you break it, that's just shady. You win I lose, awesome Transitowne, thanks for the lesson on how to practice bad business!
I have since spoken with Transitowne and they will be honoring the original deal moving forward. For dealing with this issue in a professional manner, I will be changing my review to my original 5stars.

Always a great experience, I check in, I sit in the waiting room, and then my car is ready in a reasonable amount of time. Customer service is always great, some places I feel like a burden, not Transitowne.

Very impressed
I dropped my jeep off the night before my 9am scheduled appointment. By 7am the next morning, I was informed my jeep was ready for pickup as the night crew did the work.

OIL CHANGE TOOK 1 HOUR
TOTALLY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT TOOK MY WORK ORDER LEFT AND DID NOT INFORM ANY OF THE OTHER SERVICE PEOPLE THAT I WAS WAITING. WASTED AN HOUR OF MY TIME! THE OIL CHANGE AND INSPECTION WERE ON A TRUCK THAT WAS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD WITH ONLY 4440 MILES ON IT. THE OTHER SERVICE INTAKE WAS OVERHEARD THAT HE WENT OUT TO TAKE A RENTAL TO A CUSTOMER AND RETURN WITH THAT PERSON'S CAR FOR SERVICE THAT HE WOULD TAKE 2 HOURS TO DO IT. I HAD TO CHECK IF MINE WAS DONE THE OTHER SERVICE INTAKE PERSON SAID HE WOULD CHECK ON IT. HE TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE JUST FINISHING THAT WAS A TOTAL LIE! MY KEYS WERE ON THE DESK OF THE FIRST SERVICE PERSON'S DESK AT THE BOTTOM OF OTHER WORK ORDERS I NOTICED AND WAS SETTING IN THE PICKUP AREA THAT I HAD TO FIND MYSELF. THEIR SERVICE INTAKE PEOPLE ARE LOST THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS TIME THAT THEY WAST!
