Quick and Easy

Price listed on website was price given. No sales pressure. Helpful without intrusion. Sales tax and one small admin fee were the only things added to the price. Overall a great experience! I highly recommend them!

Very Satisfied Customer

I've now bought three cars from Allen Automotive. I've always been very leery when it comes to buying a car. The pitfalls are many, the loss can be thousands of dollars if you end up with a lemon, so finding sales people you can trust is of the utmost importance. In 2014, I first met Brad Allen when I took my Buick Lucerne to Allen Automotive garage. The car was well past the 100,000 mile mark and it was having some serious mechanical issues. Brad gave me a 2012 Infiniti to drive while his mechanics checked it out. I fell in love with that car immediately. Brad gave me a list of the repairs that the Buick needed, but we started negotiating the price of the Infinite. That's what I like about the folks at Allen Automotive, they are willing to negotiate and to provide clear documentation about the car's history without a runaround. Everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. Anyway after a few days, we reached a deal that was satisfactory to us all. Fast forward to this summer. I have two grandsons, one is a senior in high school and one is in college. The senior needed a first-time car, and the college student's car had just been totaled when a driver hit his car. The senior spotted online a 2006 Audi for sale that just happened to be at Allen's Automotive. I laughed when he told me, and called Brad. We then met with Waseem, the car sales manager, drove the car, negotiated and worked out a satisfactory deal. Allen also had a 2008 Audi that my college student decided he wanted. Again, negotiated, discussed and agreed on a price. Both cars are amazingly clean for 12 and 14 years old, have a great ride and a smooth-sounding engine with practically new tires. Each had only 120,000 miles. I think we got fantastic deals on both cars. I highly, highly recommend Allen's Automotive if you are looking for a small used car dealership and garage that can be trusted and has been in the Merriam-Shawnee area for years.

Shopping for a car was very pleasant.

I was greeted by a very friendly staff. They showed me what was available in the price range I needed. The buying process was quick and easy. I will go back for my next car!

shady at best dealer. crooked and heartless!

My wife and I purchased a BMW 325xi at a reasonable price and they were rapidly ready to take our money. They were nice by allowing us to test drive without having an annoying salesman hovering in the car with us. The vehicle drove real nice and we decided to buy. Within 24 hours the check engine light came on. We diagnosed and it stated evaporation sensor which could mean gas cap not on correct. I cleared the code with my odb sensor and it seemed fine. A week later we started seeing oil looking up under the vehicle (which is tough to see with bmw as they have that big drip pan which hides a lot of that.) after taking it to BMW to get it looked at they presented us with over $4,500 in repairs needed. We freaked out as we paid $4800 for the car. We went back to Allen and spoke to the owner and he looked at BMW’s notes and threw the papers on the desk and said “What do you expect it’s a cheap car” quote. I began to get upset as I stated it was for my daughter going to college and his heartless response was very disappointing. My wife made me leave as I was getting furious. We should have known not to buy there as the first car we went to look at was a Volvo convertible that they replaced the top on and it was not the correct too as there was a 3 inch gap between the window and the cover allowing all the elements to get in. The second car we drove was this particular BMW X3. When we returned from driving it, it was smoking to beat the band as it was burning oil and leaking bad. When we went back to complain about the one we bought, they literally moved the x3 to another spot and it is still leaking oil. I fully understand the idea of providing inexpensive nicer cars but when they knowingly put them out for sale with major issues that is unscrupulous and down right shady as xxxx. I would never buy from again and the complete lack of remorse and unwillingness to assist at all with the problems makes us believe he is the prototypical car dog. I caution anyone from giving them money.

Used cars

Great place to buy a car. I have bought 3 cars there and they have all been in good shape with low mileage. I would recommend them to everyone.

what an axx!

did not appreciate me asking if i could take the car to a mechanic to look at before buying. reason "I've never heard of him". shady at best.

The guy was nice and great to work with. Vehicle seems to be in great condition and the one flaw I found they immediately remedied the situation in a very satisfactory manner.
