I called "Brad" about a used car he had for sale, told him I couldn't be there until after lunch, he said okay. I drove all the way from North of the River to this dealership in Merriam, KS. when I got there he said the car was sold the night before. How unprofessional, he could have at least told the people who bought the car that he had someone interested in it, and if I didn't show or like the car he would call them. He didn't even come out from behind a glass window at his desk to see if he could offer me something else. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Sorry, but we are in the business of selling cars, so if someone comes in and gives us money to buy a car we will except it and sell it to them unless we have a deposit on it from someone else. You did not give us a deposit to hold the car for you. This was a $1000 car, and we did not have anymore cars in that price range, or I would have come out from the office and showed it to you. Sorry again that you are disappointed

Great Car Buying Experience!

I called on the phone and had the dishonor of speaking with Mr. Allen himself. I asked how long the car had been for sale. He wouldn't give a straight answer. Ok, fine then ... I'll ask about the 168 point inspection. Did the inspection include checking the engine or the transmission? I mean, it's a pretty important consideration... I specifically asked if they checked the flywheel just to get any info about whether or not the engine was inspected. That's when the conversation turned cold and the friendly tone was dropped. "We don't check that no. Look, the car runs fine as it should. I don't have the shop records. We're closing now. Bye." Excuse me for asking! I wonder what the 168 point inspection includes then since he wouldn't tell me. Maybe they check that the car windows roll up. They do that 168 times and call it a day? I'll go spend my money elsewhere. Sorry to bother you, Mr. Allen.

You called from a New York Number after hours and ask if we inspected the flywheel...do you know that in order to inspect the flywheel you have to take the transmission out of the car to do so??? Unless there is a reason to inspect the flywheel..IE transmission or flywheel noise there is no reason to do so. Then you go on and ask if we inspected the internal parts of the engine. This would require us to pull the engine out of the car and dismantle it, then inspect the moving parts inside the engine and than put it back together at a cost of thousands of dollars. There is no reason to pull out a engine and inspect the internal parts unless the engine is making noise which it is not. The car is in excellent condition and runs and drives the way it was designed with no abnormal sounds. It seems like you think you asked some good questions without knowing that the answer would cost 5000 dollars to answer, on a car priced at 6500. That is why my tone changed. Our inspection covers the sound of the engine and transmission and we inspect them for leaks and test drive the cars for anything not normal. Our mechanic are instructed to fix everything that they find wrong with a car on our lot.

I have learned a great deal from him and watched him in all phases of the car business from purchasing to selling and marketing. His process of inspecting the cars and offering a fully backed warranty is top notch and buyers can be sure that they are getting a good car at a fair price, every time!

Allen Automotive
I just had my car fixed at Allen Automotive. I got into a crash that crippled my car, but for a cheap price, and a few days time, it looked as if it never even had a scratch on the car! I can barely tell any difference from before the crash and after the crah. I am highly satisfied with the people at Allen Automotive, they took great care and patience with me and kept me informed about when my car was done, I hope that others like me will go to Allen Automotive for their cheap prices, and great customer service!

Jaguar Repair
I was going to the Jaguar dealership and stopped in Allen Automotive to see what they thought on my Jaguar why it was not running very good. They said I needed 2 catalytic convertors and a mass air flow sensor. They were very friendly and knowledgeable on exactly what was wrong with my car. They saved me over $5000 off the dealership price. My car runs great now and I can't thank you guys enough I will be coming back

Unreasonable prices! Unreasonable attitude!
We went shopping for a Mitsubishi Eclipse. He had one on the lot priced a bit high. We were interested. We took the car to our own mechanic who found $3,000 worth of repair the car needed. Some of it urgent. When we returned, report in hand, Brad refused to believe the car needed these repairs. While at our mechanic, he showed us every single problem. We were still interested but given the high cost of repairs wanted to negotiate the price. Brad refused to negotiate. We even called the next day and upped our offer. He still wouldn't back off the price. His vehicle had been on the lot for close to 5 months and he was unwilling to consider our very fair offer. We went on to find an Eclipse in near perfect condition (a convertible no less)for which we paid much less than what Brad was asking for his vehicle. A week later he called to try to negotiate. Too late! In fact, his behavior was brash and rude to the point that I would never recommend him to anyone.

We are sorry that you did not have a good experience and would like to offer your a free oil change on your new car even through you did not buy it here. I am always more then happy to fix anything on any of my cars that is broken. Our company policy is if someone wants a new timing belt and water pump on any of our cars, we will install them for between $200 - $300 or less just as a courtesy to our customers. Our company policy is to fix any item that a customer fines to be broken also. We are sorry you had a bad experience come in for your free oil change

I was pleased with the care taken on the 12 yr old caddy deville and the negotiation was awesome overall id shop again been 2 months cars runnning great looking great def happy Highly recommended

Great Car...Great Dealership
I just purchased a used Jaguar X-type from Allen Automotive and the process was painless,professional, and Brad Allen, owner, handled the entire transaction. Very friendly, honest and anxious to please his clients, Brad treats each client with respect and as if they have a million dollars to spend. His dealership is small, specializes in higher-end cars and has automotive services on-site. This allows the dealership to provide full-service without dealing with many players, like in a larger dealership. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a quality, used vehicle that will come with a 50-50 2- year warranty. Thanks, Brad!
