Love this dealership!

I came in with negative thoughts because of my past experiences with a car salesman. It has always been like going to the circus.. They talk circles around you and you end up not knowing what just happened.. I must say from the bottom of my heart, I never felt this way here. I could actually sit back and breath because my salesman Anthony made me feel as though it's going to be ok.. And it was!!! The service was awesome and it did not take an 8 hour shift to process everything. I had my old car for 10 years!! I've decided that I will be back in 5 to trade at this dealership. Thanks so much for EVERYTHING!

Best place ive ever been

These guys have helped me out so much. Bought a car, then not even 2 months later someone hit me and totalled my car. Going to get a new one was easy. They made things right. Would recommend these guys to anyone. The only downfall is the small office lol

PRICESSLESS EXPERIENCE

Everyone should experience this type of outstanding customer service and care when purchasing a very reliable automobile. Ms Miranda dedicated herself to my family's needs that exclusively recognized our safety and most appreciated financial assistance to purchase our SUV. This is the greatest car purchasing experience we have ever gone through. Ms Miranda spent several hours extending every effort to ensure we got the automobile we wanted at the price we were seeking. We hope you don't miss your opportunity. Thanks, Jim (Fayetteville, North Carolina)

Thank you for the great feedback. Miranda works out of our Goldsboro store so we will pass this along. Congratulations on your purchase and thank you for your business!

2008 Mustang GT

We purchased a 2008 Ford Mustang GT, which had a noise under the hood when cranked. We thought it was a belt tensioner, but Matthews Motors put in in their shop and found out the clutch throw out bearing was the problem. They then replaced the clutch throw out bearing twice within the first month. After the second one, they opted to replace the entire clutch assembly. This solved the problem and we have been happy with the car. Their entire service department is awesome! They completed each repair within the time promised and I was kept informed of progress on the repairs. I will certainly buy from them again. Their sales and service departments are the best that I have encountered.

Glad we could diagnose the problem and get your Mustang running right. Thank you for taking time to write this review and giving us your business.

pretty good service process too slow

The service when I first got there was quick. The salesman was very helpful(Harry Severino). He showed me several cars , test drove several. The only thing that frustrated me was slow service in getting paperwork processsed. I had been there all day long. Other than that , he was very kind and helpful. Please try not to keep your customers there all day . But I would shop there in the near future

Friendly until you buy!

Matthews Motors used to have a good reputation, especially around Clayton...Initially I was helped by Mike and he was very friendly and worked very hard to help me get into a car & payment I felt comfortable with. I signed an authorization for them to run my card for $300 the following week to put towards a down payment (on top of my trade in... and even though they had previously offered to waive any addt'l down payment when they were trying to put me in a higher priced car). I was told my tags would be mailed out to my house.... I NEVER received them, or a follow up call/email.. nothing! I finally reached the lady in charge of tags/titles the Monday after my 30 day tags expired and she transferred me straight to Sue without even answering my question. Sue proceeds to ask me if I was aware I was supposed to make a $300 payment, I explained to her yes and I signed the appropriate forms authorizing them to run my card when I purchased the vehicle. She proceeds to tell me how she ran my card Nov 27th (which was thanksgiving) and several times after with it being declined every time- I asked her what dates she ran it and she informed me she "didn't have the dates in her head". Thinking something must be wrong with my bank, I went in and after a full account investigation was informed Matthews Motors NEVER made even an ATTEMPT to run my card, so no attempt, no decline... nothing. They typed up a letter explaining this to Matthews Motors and also made them aware that my account was in good standing and the funds were in my account and were also in my account on the day the card was supposed to have been ran. I drove a hour up to Clayton to speak with the General manager, Dave (they were holding my tags due to "non payment") and he has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life. He completely dismissed everything I said informing me if Sue said she ran it then she ran it and that my issue was between me and my bank. I politely explained to him this was a huge inconvenience to me driving a hour out of my way, with now expired tags on a car I am leasing, therefore can only drive a certain amount of miles on... He then proceeded to get into a full blown rage and ask me "my question is why did you drive all the way out here when you could have called me on the phone". I have never been so shocked by someone's behavior. He offered to fill up my tank (a whopping $9.62) and detail my car for free (which they are supposed to do every month anyway, I declined) My boyfriend politely asked Dave if Sue is not keeping track of dates she has attempted to run a card or follow up with the customer, how would anyone know she is as on top of things as he was saying? This sent Dave into a full blown temper tantrum that would rival one of a 2yr old, he became furious telling us "you know what you two can just wait outside". My issue was not about paying the $300, however I was challenging the lack of communication and in my opinion it is completely unacceptable to lie to your customers. The whole thing has been a nightmare! To make the experience even worse, I had recommended this company to a co worker since initially they were so helpful. I was informed today he also had a very negative experience with the general manager! I cannot believe a grown adult would have such behavior! It is embarrassing to have such an individual work for a so called "reputable" company.

DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER

I purchased 2014 Ford Focus in July. Car wouldn't start the day I got it because the battery cable was loose. Paint chipping off. Never recived the papers we signed. Robert Walker was our main contact and he failed to respond to my concerns. Shannon the office manager failed to get back with me. Giving you the run around is what this company is good at. Car making funny noises and transmission appears to be causing issues. I see why they didn't offer the car fax report. Car was probably wrecked and they didn't tell me. That was my fault. This was a horrible experience and one i won't repeat.

not happy with the vehicle

Hello, yes we rcvd your letter in the mail yesterday. I would like to say I AM NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THE QUALITY OF THE VEHICLE! We bought the car a year ago, since then we have put in over $5000 in work and parts to the car. When we bought the car in July, everything seems to be fine, but as we were driving it we notice the tire pressure light kept coming on, so we thought it was a bad tire, plus we were missing a cap from the rims that was promise to be replace, but anyways, we bought a new tire, now those tires runs about $200 a piece. So after that, the tire pressure light still was coming on, so we replace the control panel. Whoever had the car before, welded the bolts to the panel and we had the hardest time getting it off. So after that, still it was not fix. From body shop to another body shop. Still Nothing. So in January, with my tax money, we put the car in the shop again to replace the WHOLE front end. After replacing the whole front end, it still was not fix. The only thing we could think of was the rims was bent. So we are riding around with bent rims? After all this, the radiator kept blowing up in the car, after the third time we find out we needed a whole new ENGINE! I?m sure you know how much this will cost, we decided to have the engine rebuild. And still after spending over $5000 in parts and repairs, the tire pressure light is still coming on. So there you go, No we are not happy, the car had to have been in a crash, because once we took it apart there was damage to the vehicle. The sunroof have a leakage to it, so there are water damage to it. Rims is all damage. NO I am not happy at all, we paid way over what it is worth and I should expect the vehicle to be at least running. We kept calling Jeff who sold us the car, no HELP at all. So no I will not be telling anybody about you guys. Sorry but this was and still is the worst experience with a car I ever had. We can?t even trade the car in, because it?s worth nothing!
