These guys will hard sell and upsell on things you don't need and when their cars fall apart and you need the service department to initiate warranties, they will ignore you, give you the run around and try to pass you on to other dealerships so they don't have to deal with it. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE.

Overpriced vehicles, informal front desk employee

Overpriced vehicles, informal front desk employee (Steven), uncooperative staff, didn’t feel secure with my money, felt almost like a scam

Consumer response

Unfortunately the employees that assisted me simply wanted to sell a custom car they didn’t want. To top that off they basically sold me a 2022 Challenger R/T that was manual priced at $72,000. While they approved me for the vehicle they knew I wouldn’t get insured anywhere but still sold the vehicle since the original person who customized it got another vehicle. My credit had to take the hit since my only option was doing a voluntary surrender, which Steven (the front desk employee) tried to decline and give me reasons why it wasn’t allowed. Nonetheless, very poor experience and business with these folks.

I'm only leaving a single star because you can't leave a comment without a minimum one-star rating. I went to Redlands CDJR to buy a replacement key fob and have it cut and programmed (approx $315). I bought the key with no problems. The cutting and programming of the key was a different story. The key was programmed correctly, but the keyless entry features didn't work. They wanted to charge me $186 to diagnose the problem but after talking to the lead service advisor he agreed to waive the diagnostic fee to figure out what was wrong. I left the vehicle at the dealership and checked in a few hours later. I was informed that the keyless entry still wasn't working and they believed that it was because I had replaced the factory radio. I called several stereo installers and a few other dodge dealerships in the area for a second opinion. All agreed that the stereo had nothing to do with the keyless entry system. The next morning after getting a call from the dealership I went to pick up my car. I was told that the problem hadn't been fixed and the missing radio was the problem. I let the lead service advisor know that I had called around and what I had been told. He said that the missing stereo was the cause and short of reinstalling a factory radio there was nothing he could do. I left the dealership and immediately went to the closest auto parts store to test the keyless entry transmitter. Sure enough, the battery was dead and it wasn't working. I bought a new battery and replaced it, the issue was solved. Keyless entry now works perfectly. I don't know if this was a money grab by the dealership trying to get me to pay for useless services and or parts, or a display of the utter lack of intelligence on the parts of both the lead service advisor and the service technicians doing the work. I'll let you decide. Needless to say, I will never be returning to Redlands CDJR and will happily tell anyone willing to listen to do the same thing. Update 10/14/22: Went back to the dealership and spoke with the service manager directly and described my experience. He immediately apologized for my inconvenience and refunded everything I had paid, and even paid for the replacement batteries for the remote.

Do not use this place!

Do not go here. They stole my spare tire and Jack, over filled the oil and I didn't get the oil changed there I do that myself. Charged me $250 deductible to fix an A/C hose that started leaking a week later and my insurance company said they don't charge a deductible.
