Worst experience ever
Absolutely the worst buying experience in my life. The sales staff was personable and tried to be helpful but the general level of disorganization tainted everything. We drove quite a long distance to purchase an advertised car. We made multiple phone calls in advance to ensure we had addressed all issues and would be able to complete the transaction in one day. Instead, after we arrived we were told something very different and were forced to return home empty handed and wait for their call on the next day. 4 days later we still hadn't heard from them dealership (neither had our bank) so we called again speaking to the finance dept this time. Basically we were told the delay was due to the fact they prefer not to do business with our bank. Instead we should use their financing and then it would be fine. While I was irritated at having to redo all of the credit paperwork that we had already done and been preapproved through our bank we complied with their request. Once again believed we had done our due diligence and that everything would go smoothly. We made the long drive again. When we got there we once again found there were issues. One of the biggest issues was that they had advertised the vehicle to come with a free warranty but once we went in to sign papers we were told that was a "mistake" and no warranty would be offered. When I voiced my complaint I was told if I wanted to file a complaint "I have a whole team of attorney's working for me, go ahead...". The entire transaction was frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone.

OVER PROMISED AND UNDERDELIVERED!!! BE AWARE!!!
just now-Edit Where do I begin...First and foremost, I purchased a 2011 Lexus IS-F that was posted up for sale online for $35,500. Upon the initial phone call, I was told the price they were asking for was $39,500 (very misleading). Finally after a lengthy negotiation, we agreed on a purchase price. Before the car was shipped out to my residence (in AZ), the manager Andre had told me of the damage to the wheels that had been done by the previous owner. If I'm not mistaken, ALL preowned vehicles go through a thorough inspection before being sold to the next customer. With that being said, Andre had told me he would have a wheel specialist fix the wheels before shipping the vehicle out to me. After couple weeks of finalizing the paperwork, the vehicle finally arrived on November 1st, 2019. As anyone in my position would be, I was excited to finally see the car at my door (even though it was nerve racking to purchase a car sight unseen). As soon as the car came off of the transport, I went ahead and gave the car an inspection to see if there was anything I needed to report. The very first thing that caught my attention were ALL four wheels still had damage to them and it looked like someone just colored the damaged spots with touch up paint or a sharpie! Also on the driver side, there was a BIG chunk taken out of the sidewall of the tire. After I saw the damage to the tire, I immediately felt like that was a huge safety hazard to be driving the car around with that kind of damage to the sidewall. After I saw the damage to the driver side tire, I immediately questioned the condition of all four tires. Sure enough ALL four tires were expired and were 7 years old!!! Now here i am with a car that got delivered to my door with expired/damaged tires, and curb rash on ALL four wheels, after I was told they were going to take care of it! I immediately contacted the manager Andre, and every time I reached out to him his response was "I'll call you back," "I will get a hold of you today," and the most recent "Call me back tomorrow, and I will have an answer for you." Every time, I got NO response, and had me waiting around expecting his phone call. It is now December 13, 2019 a little over a month of purchasing the vehicle, and still no response. Talk about lack of customer service, absolutely NO follow through, let alone consideration of a customer's time and concern for their safety of a vehicle purchased at their dealership. What do they care, they already got their money from the bank for the vehicle. I advise ANYONE who considers this dealership for their future vehicle purchase to think twice! I still haven't been able to enjoy the vehicle I purchased and after over a month of reaching out, I have had enough of the poor quality of customer service (That's putting it in a nice way). I'm not the type of person to waste my time to write reviews, but I am taking my time to write about how absolutely DISAPPOINTING my experience was with working with Frontier Ford of Anacortes! I'm not being unreasonable by asking them them to keep their word for the advertised vehicle. I even went out of my way to get them quotes from a local wheel and tire shops here in Arizona. Now they have made me waste my time on more than one occasion to be left empty-handed. I hope anyone who took the time to read my review also takes my terrible experience here and take their business elsewhere.

Duke, I've forwarded this review unto Andre.
Great service experience
My 2017 F250 had been in the shop 6 separate times for the same front end issue. It started at 14,000 total miles and after the 6 trips to the dealer it was no better...probably worse. If driven over 55mph the front end went into an uncontrollable oscillation. After driving from Toledo,OH to Anacortes never exceeding 55mph I took it to Frontier. The truck now had 24,000 miles and all of the tires were worn out. They followed Ford's recommend repair procedures which didn't make one bit of difference. Frontier's service manager did what none of the other dealers did, he called and requested that Ford have a field engineer take a look see. That specialist recommended the installation of non Ford parts which cured the problem hopefully for good. If Rene and his guys hadn't taken the extra initiative I'd now be in court with a lemon law attorney attempting to get Ford to buy back my truck. Rene and service writer Ted stepped up and exceeded expectations.

Steve, We are so glad that your truck is finally running the way it's supposed to. And thank you for the kind words of Rene and the Service team.
We went to Frontier because there were some good reviews...
We went to Frontier because there were some good reviews on the first site when looked up and on my phone. However, I can fully agree and testify to the experience that are being reported on Yelp. We went in to test drive a vehicle and looked at some others. When they noticed we were serious about buying they switched salesmen and said the first one had another customer but on the way out he told the first guy to stand post. I asked if he had another customer or was he standing post? Lie 1. Then I said I don't feel right about switching sales men and that I knew we needed to use someone else to close so we test drove with the first one. We went in to check on the price and they brought out a form that included $2500 in add-ons we didn't ask for. I ask them to take the add-ons off and let them know again we would be using our own bank to finance. I asked, if they would go down in price to and even $20,000 from $20,233 and he went back to the sales manager who insisted all the profits were in the add- ons we declined. Lie 2. They could have just said no but it was also only $233. We then asked about getting a warranty and the closer went back to the sales manager and returned saying he said, not if we are not financing with them. Lie 3. They said it would be a few more minutes and nearly a half hour later we asked what was taking so long and they said they needed to run it through the finance department even though we were financing with our bank. We had to come back to get the purchase agreement, then take it to our bank, go get a check and then go back to Frontier. At that point the financer asked if we wanted to include a warranty but the bank loan already went through and we had a check. Pretty lame. We tried to get an increase but couldn't. The financer asked a few times if we wanted to cancel our loan and finance with them. I finally told him how ridiculous that would be after we were lied to and not treated well and they would not budge on the price because we weren't financing through them to end up giving them what they wanted. We got the car and I let the closer no that we could've got a warranty and he insisted he was just the messenger for the sales manager. They washed it and brought it over "empty on fuel" and we noticed a drip of water on the cup holder near the stick shift. Thought it was from when they washing the windows. After the first rain about 4 days later my wife noticed rain dripping from the top of the windshield. I called back and the sales manager said once we buy we own it. He said it wasn't leaking on the lot or they're would be signs of it. Well today 8 days after buying the car during a heavy rain the cup holder is nearly full of water. We live in NW Washington with about 50" of rain a year and car gurus said the car has been there for over 120 days. The owner of Frontier Ford is responsible for hiring and continuing the employment of this staff which may be what he wants. Maybe he's making good money this way but I did not have a great experience and I am sharing my story with the people around me and on reviews. Maybe, just maybe the owner sees it or hears of it and takes action. I would also caution about 5 star reviews because there are a number of employees who have the ability to write reviews to help generate business. Don't know that's happening but I can tell you I did not get the 5 star treatment.

Shady Sales
Went to test drive a used truck. Started to talk numbers while they estimated my trade. When the salesman asked if I owned my home, I queried why that necessary. He stated it was for a credit application. However, I told him upfront I was coming in with my own financing. Worksheet came back $8,000 more than internet pricing. Once they corrected that, they also slipped in "insurance" on paint, carpet and seat protection ($1800 more) which I never asked for. Countered with $2,500 less than their corrected worksheet and was then treated like i kicked them in the shin. Took 20 minutes before they gave back my keys. They had even locked my truck so I couldn't get back into my property. Was informed the Sales Manager (who took his time) wanted to come talk with me and return my keys. After hearing the condescending Sales Manager say how they went out of their way to provide a "good deal", I stated it was their loss for the <$2500 difference and that I was buying new instead. I was then treated like their favorite customer and had to wait even longer as my vehicle documents were finally returned. I departed Frontier, went to Dwayne Lane Skagit and dropped $75,000 on a new rig. Having brought a dozen vehicles from various dealerships (mostly Fords), the experience at Frontier ranked them high as places to avoid (for service too). They have a very long way to go in order to clean up their business relations / processes. Paula ps: after two weeks of their phone calls, I had to block their numbers.

Rude, Pushy and Over Priced.
When I explained what I was looking for (a used F-250 7.3L) the salesman laughed at me and sarcastically said "sure we all want that". Then he told me it would be impossible to find. Well then I found one sitting on their lot.. Immeditaly the salesman suddenly knew everything about the truck, even though a minute earlier he didn't know it was even there. He started making claims of "One previous owner". The Rusty 20 year old winch was a "$2500 winch". He proceeded to become EXTREMELY PUSHY even though at the beginning he assured me he was not pushy. Then he tells me the sale price is $20,000. Twenty thousand for a 1996 pick-up! Then I asked to see some f-150s and he became irrate.. He even started to raise his voice at me.. "You told me this is what you wanted, this is your truck! Your buying THIS truck". I had to leave immediatley. I can't believe a sales person would talk to anyone like that. If that's how he sells cars I have no idea how he sleeps at night.

Don't buy from Frontier Ford!
Purchased used Jeep Renegade from Frontier. Had to charge it to get it started. Error light on. Was told due to coldness and needing a charge. Second weekend came to get vehicle, wasn't charged, key fob broken, error light still on. 3 days later had to put $1,400 into it at a local Jeep dealer to get the 30,000 mile checkup light off. 5th day, wouldn't start, have to either get a new battery or regulator...After debting close to $16,000.00 already!

They sold us a Lemon.
We recently purchased a used 2002 Chevy Suburban at Ford Frontier. Purchase price was $5500, about 1000 of which was for a GPS service and some kind of coating they had previously placed on the vehicle. In retrospect, we should have paid for neither, since the car was in such poor mechanical condition. My husband drove off the lot and the next day the check engine light came on. Long story short, we have about $5000 worth of repairs. That is essentially the cost of the vehicle. Problems: replace rear differential, an unattached completely non-working AC unit, 2 knock sensors out, several spark plugs, the entire exhaust manifold, a major leak seal in the engine, a seat that didn't fold properly, lights that needed to be replaced, windshield wipers that needed to be replaced. And the list is still growing. We understand that the deal was as is and that there is no guarantee. We also think that a good business would have a vehicle in decent working condition, expecting some repairs. This is unacceptable to us. This is poor business. They made money and we got a lemon that we are trying to figure out how to pay for and repair so that our single income family can have a working vehicle. I contacted them through a message on their website - that was never returned. I called and spoke to the first John, who took my number and said he would get back to me and never did. I spoke to John B., the 3rd time, who reminded me it was as is, and said "I'm sorry", and that he would get back to me. He did do that. And when I returned the call, let me know there was pretty much nothing they could do except maybe give %10 off at repairs in their shop. My husband thought in good faith that we were buying a decent, not perfect, vehicle. We will not do business there again, and we do not recommend buying a vehicle from them. That vehicle should have been sent to auction, not sold on a major dealership's lot. Everyone who we have shared this story with thinks it is terrible. Feeling very discouraged and struggling to figure out how to pay for this. Good business owners make things right, even when it is at some cost to them.
