I couldn't have been more impressed

This purchase is actually my 3rd with this dealer, and each time gets more impressive than the last. I think every time I bought a car was about this time of year (i use my tax refund for large items) and they usually seem pretty busy. Each time including this one i have visited a few other dealers and "shopped", but interestingly i always end up with the best feeling at this store. The cars have always been a good value, and although not perfect, very good for the price. The one time i did have a sorta major issue 3 days after i bought a scion, they simply said bring it in, we'll check it out. I got a call 4 hours later saying "your fuel pump went out, but don't worry, its fixed now with no bill". They paid for the tow in, they loaned me a car, and they fixed the scion. At the time i remember thinking they must have to, from some law. But then my girlfriend found out the hard way that is not a law and they don't have to from a different dealer. I also found out the fuel pump is in the gas tank in that car and its pretty expensive. So i i have soft spot for these guys, i don't see how they could have known my fuel pump was going to fail, so it wasn't their fault, but they took care of it all without any pressure or stress. So when i bought this 3rd car and was signing papers and the same guy, rick was helping me sign papers, and he said "this form says is as is, but if something goes wrong please call, we will always do what we can for our customers. Just be nice and polite, our GM, bends over backwards for customers that aren't screaming ". So its been 2 weeks and my car is great, but i was remembering how much i like this dealer and how the people I've worked with there have been so nice, that i wanted to share it with you all. Maybe the next car i need i won't bother checking anywhere else and just go to Rod's, where i know i will be happy.

To impressed single mom. Thank you for taking the time to write this stellar review of our company. Typically the only reviews people take the time to write are bad ones because thats just unfortunately how the world works. The upset 10% percent scream the loudest, and this holds true time and time again. But then people like you come along and help us fight that nonsense and ill representation. We cant tell you how much this means to us, and we are excited to see you again. However, yes we want to make money of course haha but if we don't have the car you want, don't disregard our fellow dealers. A happy customer is more important to us, than the money. Because at the end of the day they become the same thing.

UNPROFESSIONAL

I wouldn't recommend your dealer ship to anyone! Your sales rep was unprofessional and could of cared less about making a sale. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE ANY OF THEIR CARS TO A PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC BEFORE YOU PURCHASE. SAVED ME FROM BUYING A $20K MISTAKE.

Thank you preston for the stellar review! Wayne says, "Thanks for the shout out!". The time you took out of your day to help us could not be more appreciated. If possible, we would love to write a short story on you and your families experience here at Rods All Star Auto to post to our blog. If you are interested, give us a call and ask for Jacob.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide a great review. As a valued customer we would love more critical feedback so we can improve. However, we cannot complain if all you want to do is give us 5 stars. Thank you so much. We understand writing reviews is annoying and tedious, although it helps us a lot.

Insulting.

My family went to Rods all star auto, not only did the sales man insult my wife, he insulted my knowledge of how a car seat works when I was looking to adjust the height of the seat. The breaks on the car weren't in a great condition and the detailing was sub par for a dealership. As my family was leaving, the sales man was throwing a visible tantrum because of the lack of professionalism him self showed. In sorry that my family witnessed that.

T, I am really sorry you had this experience at our Dealership. Give us a call, I'm sure there is something we can do to remedy the situation.

hard to find these days

In the unpredictable world of buying and selling used cars, anything can happen. You go and test drive multiple vehicles, and try to make a decision based on a range of factors whether it be preference, comfort, price, brand reliability etc. Once you make the choice to purchase, you own it. There's no going back. This was the case for my wife and I. We had driven and looked at multiple cars at multiple dealerships. We made the decision to purchase from Rods, a vehicle that was to our liking. They had a courteous, no pressure sales environment that was extremely patient and professional with the sales process. After less than 24 hrs of driving it off the lot, the check engine light came on as well as two other lights. This disabled the AWD and the cruise control. You can imagine the the knot this put in our stomachs when we realized it probably wasn't a simple fix. I feel Rods had no knowledge of this problem and did NOT intentionally sell us a faulty vehicle. I immediately called the dealership and without hesitation they apologetically asked us to bring it in. This began an extensive process of elimination to try and diagnose a problem in the fuel evap system. It took several try's, much patience, research, and persistence and they were able to fix the problem. Like I said earlier. It's an unpredictable business. Your hope is that when you run into a problem like we did, that you are treated well and not just excused because the sale is over. I give this dealership 5 stars based on our experience with them. At no point did we feel like we weren't a priority, nor a nuisance. This is because they are a well managed dealership made up of people who are in the business of prioritizing you. The customer. They are not just trying to make a buck off you. People matter to them. They look at the big picture and realize that the buying experience people have with them goes well beyond the day of the sale and plays a factor on where they buy their next car. Puyallup is a town filled with options when it comes to buying a car and that makes it a very aggressive business. There are many reputable dealerships here and this is most certainly one of them. We were served with a professional attitude of diligence, follow through, and integrity. The measure of character stands out when the situation is grim, not ideal and difficult to navigate, not when everything is going great. Our salesman was Preston, Larry was our primary contact for the repair process. I would like to thank these two men and Rods Auto Sales publicly for taking care of us. Good luck with your car buying experience.

To Joe G. Thank you for taking the time to write a flattering and outstanding review. Customers like you, help our business grow. We look forward to seeing you in the future! Sincerely Rod's All Stars

would i recommend, you bet!

All Star helped my wife and I find another car with better gas mileage. They even shocked me at how much trade-in I got on my old car (10 years older then the one we bought from them.). The whole buying process was painless. Their Financing guy is a genius and worked very hard to get us financed! They even went out of their way to help us get the necessary insurance on the vehicle. These guys go the extra mile! Some of these other reviews I've seen, don't even come close to our experience! Would I recommend Rod's All-Star Auto? you Bet!

I just love this place

I'd say after almost 40 years of car buying I feel somewhat of an authority on the subject and I can say without any hesitation, this dealership is one of the best. I just bought my 3 rd car in the same number of years, and each and every time the cars were good, and the deals great.great people, great cars, and time and time again, great deals.

Happy in Tacoma

We've been doing business at Rods for over 20+ years back in the day when they had a little shack with a dirt lot and was known as Rod & Tys. My Husband and I have purchased 4/5 cars from them over the years and we have never had a problem with them or the cars. The other day we took our Daughter's boyfriend to Rod's All Star to purchase his first car. As always he was treated as if he was spending 80gr on a car. He got a good deal and they found good financing for him. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR A FIRST TIME CAR PURCHASER! I would recommend Rod's to anyone

Buyer beware

We bought a very nice car at a satisfactory price. Within days the breaks were "grinding". Took to our mechanic and front breaks were at 2 back at 3. Returned to talk to manager. He asked the mechanic who said he didn't remember the car but was sure they were good. Rods All Star would accept no responsibility. Mgr was willing to have their shop do the brake job. I would still be paying for parts (at dealer cost) and all labor. I might have saved some money on parts but my degree of trust is 0%. In their opinion the brakes were good two weeks ago. It is my job to keep my family safe. I need to know the job is be done correctly. W

When we were told these customers were being informed that they purchased a vehicle that the Brakes were nearly worn out we had it inspected by an "independent" shop. That shop showed us over 60% of the brakes life was remaining. Since we do not usually replace brakes with this much life left we did offer to do it for our costs of parts and labor. This would have been about $60. The customers rejected this offer.
