Bought car out of state, obviously there would be things

Bought car out of state, obviously there would be things wrong with the car. Salesman told me about the front end situation, which was never reported to carfax. He never told me about the wheel barring needing replacement, a damaged windshield, hood struts that fail after 10 seconds, and a ton more scratches in the paint. When I contacted them, I was told that the car passed Virginia state inspection and that there were no issues with the car. I’m having to spend close to 1000 dollars just to get the car fixed with included tech diagnostic fees, windshield replacement, wheel barring replacement, and hood strut replacement. I would have been totally happy with all these issues, if they were brought up before purchase. Sketchy salesmen, sketchy dealership.

It is very unfortunate, Travis, that you feel like we are deserving of the 1-star rating. In addition to telling you what we know about the car, Mike also did a very extensive life video call with you, showing all the good and the bad up close, as we do with all the out-of-area buyers. Because of the transparency, we want our buyers to see and hear everything about the vehicle before making a purchase. Possibly, we did not hear the sound of the wheel bearing if it was not very obvious, the hood did not fall when we had the car, otherwise, we would replace the hood struts (it is an 18-year-old vehicle). You did send a picture of about 5mm long chip on the windshield taken from the inside of the vehicle that may or may not have been there, or could have been chipped during the vehicle transport. In VA, small chips like this do not affect State inspection. The last message on record is when Mike asked you to have mechanical concerns diagnosed by the professional shop and to share their findings with us. We are very well known in the area as the dealership that goes above and beyond when preparing our vehicles for sale, whether they are 2 or 20 years old. So sketchy is not who we are! Communication is the key!

Great experience!

A very positive experience during my wife’s and my visit at LA auto today. Very knowledgeable staff, courteous, and a joy to deal with. Vitali the dealership manager/owner is a true car, enthusiast, and very knowledgeable about his product. Johann also very helpful. We went into look at a specific vehicle, which was an extremely nice condition, but likely will pass on it at this time as we really have too many vehicles now. The 540 BMW TI is truly a collector car and will not be a disappointment to anybody in the market for one.

Another WIN at LA Auto Star!! Why buy a car anywhere else where you can have a personalized experience delivered right to your door!? I had flexibility and time for this recent purchase and Marina ordered my DREAM JEEP with everything I wanted, down to specifics on the interior/exterior color combo and the 1-touch roof. BUYER BEWAREInitially I thought I was dealing with a...

BUYER BEWARE Initially I thought I was dealing with a fair and honest business. I contacted LA AUTO STAR to inquire about the 2010 MAZAD CX7 they listed for sale for $9,990. I was able to test drive the vehicle which was clean an impressive looking. I asked if I could have my mechanic check it out before I buy it. My mechanic pointed out a problem with the emergency brake not holding if the car is in drive, and that there was an oil leak requiring removal of the oil pan. I was told that my mechanic didn't know what he was talking about. They suggested I get another opinion. I agreed to pay for Firestone (next door) to inspect the vehicle. They found they same problems as well as a steering and suspension issue. The repairs from Firestone listed costed $2,606.75. I gave them the report from Firestone. LA AUTO STAR said they would fix the emergency brake and take $500 off the price. I was not willing to buy the vehicle knowing that it would cost another $2300 to fix it. But they are willing to sell it to someone else. I call that unscrupulous business practices. BUYER BEWARE!

I drove 5 hours from Philadelphia to Virginia Beach, VA...

I drove 5 hours from Philadelphia to Virginia Beach, VA to purchase a beautiful 2018 Ram 2500 from La Auto Star. It literally was the best vehicle purchasing experience I've ever had. I was apprehensive about the trip initially, but once I got there to my surprise the truck was EXACTLY how it was displayed on their website. I would like to give a big thanks to EVERYONE at La Auto Star for just being GREAT genuine people, and making my vehicle purchasing experience phenomenal. I will DEFINITELY be a repeat customer 🤝🏿🤝🏿🤝🏿

The experience at LA Auto Star was above and beyond! Working with Johann was a breeze and the car was ready to go ASAP. They gave a great trade in value on my car and made it a very smooth process. I would definitely recommend anyone to this dealer if you’re looking for more than your ordinary vehicle. They have a great selection of cars to choose from. Johann did an amazing job in taking care of me through...

Johann did an amazing job in taking care of me through the process. Prior to me actually coming in he was very helpful in answering all my questions and keeping in contact with me. We drove 4 hours to come take a look at a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat (in my dream color of sublime green) and work out a trade in deal for my vehicle (2017 Jeep Wrangler Backcountry, which I was sad to see go). I walked out of there with a fair price on my trade in and a great rate after financing through them. Thank you Johann and to the rest of your team. I highly recommend checking them out they have a lot full of quality, unique vehicles with good prices and great customer service. They help work with you and they don’t pressure you like most car dealerships try and do.
