Having just purchased a used Toyota Rav4 from this dealership last week, I highly recommend that you have your own mechanic review any used vehicle before purchasing. My son bought his first vehicle from this dealership (based on my recommendation to buy from a reputable dealership, rather than a third party), and after just 28 miles (the drive home) we noticed the car smoked significantly when started after sitting in the driveway for 5 days. Immediately upon noticing this, we contacted the dealership and were informed that the vehicle passed their service review / inspection, and although confirming that it smoked on cold starts (we returned the vehicle immediately so they could check it out), they indicated it was a used vehicle and therefore they had no responsibility for any repairs based on their limited warranty. Specifically, they said we should have noticed it when we test drove it. Interesting enough, the vehicle was sitting out front both times we test drove it, so it wasn't a cold start. You can decide if this was by design or not. I have my own opinion. In any case, they told us to bring it in for a diagnostic, and after leaving it for the week, and confirming it was smoking, they wouldn't agree to evaluate the problem further. When asked about their diagnostic, they said they did a "visual inspection". I already knew it was smoking...I have eyes too! Above and Beyond
I have entered a 5 in all categories that were under the control of the sales representative I worked with: Benjamin Parmelee. This man went above and beyond to ensure I went home in the car I wanted. His perseverance and innovation in the face of my many blunders (waiting until a Saturday to set up insurance, not bringing the right check, etc.) was uncanny. Time and time again Ben went to bat for me, entering his manager's office as my advocate and convincing him not to let the car go. At the end of the day, when my ride home became unavailable, Ben drove me 2 hours and 30 minutes back to Annapolis Maryland. This man is a dedicated professional who consistently demonstrated a willingness to put customer care before personal gain. You would be severely misguided if you picked up the phone to call BMW of Reading and you did not ask for Ben.

First Time Buying Experience - Perfect
I recently purchased my first BMW at BMW of Reading from Rob Koch. I wanted one of the new M235i's, so I sat down with Rob and he helped me order exactly everything I wanted on the car. Even though it was a brand new car that wasn't available at any dealers yet, Rob was able to describe everything I was looking at and make sure everything was perfect before placing the order. Throughout the process of the vehicle being built to leaving Germany, to arriving in the US, Rob offered me many status updates via email to let me know what stage the car had entered. When the car finally arrived, Rob sent me photos of both the truck unloading the car and the car itself sitting on the lot. This was a great touch to me; I doubt all BMW Client Advisers take the time to put in that extra gesture. The car arrived in the morning, and despite the dealer being EXTREMELY busy, Rob managed to get the vehicle ready for delivery that same afternoon! Rob was just as excited about the car as I was when I arrived to pick it up and he spent an hour going over every single control, detail and aspect of the car. On top of everything else, Rob did manage to get me a great discount on the vehicle. Despite being a brand new vehicle that is in high demand, he still worked out a great price for me. My parents have been going to him for years for their BMWs and I hope to continue the tradition.

This is the third time that I have leased a BMW from BMW of Reading and the experience has been great. I have worked with Rob Koch each time and he has shown great knowledge and caring. He is a true professional and the best salesman since I started driving in 1968. As a small town dealer BMW of Reading is a the place to go for your needs.

Ben Parmalee - I had 10AM appt 3/24 and he was a no show....
Ben Parmalee - I had 10AM appt 3/24 and he was a no show. Ben is a bad reflection on your dealership. I almost walked out nad went to BMW Sun Motors in Mechanicsburg, Pa. The front desk ladies could have been more helpful. They said Ben wast in yet and let me sit there. I think he showed up at 1pm. They should have immediately goten someone else. I had to ask to speak to another sales person and Rick stepped up. I was there to buy a vehicle. I had been going to Faulkner BMW in Lancaster but both Cindy Stoner and myself were not treated well and I was insuulted by the sales person so I walked out aS did Cindy when she was there. They lost out on 2 sales. Rick saved the day and was very helpful and no pressure salesman. Joel was very professional and explained the car loan contract. I was referred bu Cindy Stoner who bpought an X-1 from your dealership a few months ago. Another suggestion is since I was there from 9:45 unril 3:30 maybe offer to suggest a place to call for lunch so I could have it delivered? Long day and I am from York so it was not close.

Once again Rob has made the process of my spontaneous purchase very painless. Rob definitley takes the time to get to know his clients, and it shows. It was the second BMW purchased at BMW of Reading, and definitely not my last! I highly recommend Rob Koch & the rest of the team at BMW of Reading.
