My experience was amazing everyone was so nice Wardell was amazing that's why I could get my new car and the young woman who my paper work was nice too and a fantastic dresser

Do NOT go to Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie.

Do NOT go to Ourisman Chevrolet of Bowie. I hope this review will help in your decision. They consistently could not effectively communicate amongst themselves or to me. They had my car in the shop 3 times for the same repairs, 2 days the first time, 1 day the second time (they had left a gas line loose), and 4 days the third time (not working on it until the last day), dragging what they said was a day or two of repairs to 3 months. And that was only because I had to do their job searching for a part in order for it not to drag to 7 months, which, when things became an issue, they were able to obtain the part within the same day. After looking at my car when it was originally dropped off, they quoted me a price of over $8,200. My Suburban is 15 years old, so I did some research before determining if that was worth it and concluded that it was right at the threshold, but worth doing. Three months later when they were attempting to complete the work, Frank realized he made $1,250 of mistakes in billing and wanted me paying for it, and Willie, the sales manager, wanted me to paying for half of the mistake. Prior to this, I had already asked 3 times about pricing and even to verify the bill when I picked up the car the first time. I had a 5 page bill that no one I talked to could explain to me, not even Frank. I also spent $1K in car rentals, 3 hours driving to the junkyard to get the part they said was going to take a month but turned into 7 months, and an additional $300 on the part (that ended up not working because it was worse off than what was already in the car). I was finally upset at this point, so Frank passed me on to Willie. Willie wanted me meeting them half way on the billing error, but I explained I already had, so he said he had to talk to Rob. It concluded with them covering the cost of the mistake, however, after that, instead of them addressing the follow up issues because the work was not done correctly or completely, the receipt just said mechanic found no issues. I now have to take it to a different shop to complete the work that was not finished. I was not a valued customer and they did not care to do a good job on my car even when I spent over $8K ($3K for parts and $5K for labor).

Beware of Service Fees

When you arrive to the service department it is awkward because there is about 4-5 employees behind the desk and it takes a while for them to even acknowledge you and you don’t even know which one to go to. It seems and feels like your a bother and their too busy for you. Took our 2016 GMC Sierra for and oil change $128! $38 for labor $63 parts $22 Misc fees (including file security compliance fee and recovery fees ) We were in the in the market for a new vehicle, considering the Tahoe, since our family has expanded. However, with their extraordinary fees we will not be buying from Ourisman Chevrolet we will take our business elsewhere. If this is their fees for an oil change I can’t imagine buying a new vehicle from them. Last time I EVER go back to this unfriendly dealer. Side Note: they do not offer free shuttle service for clients any longer as of December 2022 they will call a Lyft driver and only pay for the first 5 miles anything after that you have to pay for the difference.

Awful service department, in just about every way you

Awful service department, in just about every way you might measure it. Car was in for a routine oil changes and driving home we noticed the oil pressure gauge was not working. 2 separate time sensitive messages that afternoon and the following morning about whether the car should be driven went unreturned. Finally made an appointment for service on the gauge, dropped off the evening before the appointment, and the car had not been evaluated by the end of the following day. In fact the service tech called in the late afternoon to say he could find nothing wrong and it became evident he did not have or even read our description of the problem left at the time we dropped it off. Lead tech reportedly was not available to look at the car that afternoon, so they are keeping it for an extra day. On top of this, the service department almost never answers the phone and the general answering machine you are routed to fails to beep so you can leave a message. Communication by this service department rates a “0”. And, quality of service and timeliness of service also each rate a “0”. We have been long-term customers of Heritage in Owings Mills and the Ourisman

Five year run around

In 2017, I took my car into this dealership and let them know that the performance data recorder and GPS weren’t working. I was told that I needed to buy an OnStar module. This is for a car that was still under warranty. I paid for a warrantied part. That’s right. I bought the part and waited for a very long time for it to come. Eventually, at the end of the pandemic, they installed the OnStar module. That did not fix the problem. Then I was told that I need an update for a recall that required some kind of tape and other parts. After waiting several months for those parts, I went to the shop to follow up. They told me that one part had come. However the shop manager said that they needed another part and a tool to install it that Chevy wouldn’t provide. I found out that they had not ordered anything. This shop manager is dishonest. I cannot recommend this shop for anything.
