Needed to buy a car as my 2001 was starting to have transmission problems...took a chance and drove around the lot before parking. Found a few cars that were interesting. Came under the care of Chris Drewry. This is only the second time in my life I have bought an almost new car. He was a delight to work with and took the time to make sure the car and I were a good fit. Left with a 2013 VW Beetle. ( Almost ordered the decals to make it into Herbie!) My car was falling apart and I needed a new one pretty quick, I talked with Tammy at Automax Ocala and told her my situation, also what down payment and monthly payments I could afford, we set a time for me to visit the dealership. When I arrived I found that she had already picked out 5 cars for me to look at that fit within my financial situation. I looked at and drove each vehicle, discussing the xxxxxxand con's of each one with her. Afterwards she told me "pick the one you want", I chose a very nice Volkswagon Jetta and with a minimum of paperwork/financial paper fuss I found myself driving my Jetta home! It was incredible, no haggling over the sticker, no bait & switch, no wondering if they were cheating me. EVERYTHING was on the up and up and straight forward. In all my car buying years I have never dealt with a salesperson like Tammy who actually cared about my situation and needs. She worked within my financial requirements and was very honest with me. I wasn't ready to buy a car and was up front about that. I had already been to three other dealers and as soon as i disclosed that I was dropped. Mark at Automax took his time showed me several cars and even allowed me to test drive a couple. When I am ready I will buy from Mark.

We were looking for a truck so we were browsing the trucks. The sales staff were informative, congenial and cooperative among themselves which added up to, first and foremost, please the customer. Oh yeah, they want to sell you something but they do it by answering your questions and provide other information that paints their products in a very positive light. Taking our test drive, Mark Travis provided insights on each product that left the deciding to us. He gave us space to discuss and come to our parameters. He took care of the few issues that needed to be corrected. He was willing to go above and beyond for us (as much as he was allowed). Once we decided to purchase, the closure task was handed to Scott who made the process quite painless. Follow up was complete as promised and we are very pleased with our truck and with our first experience with Automax of Ocala.
