nice suv, 2 breakdowns 2 weeks, Taylor's only help w/1
Thanks CarGurus for your services. Found the vechile on the internet, went to the dealership and looked at it and like it. The vechile had only been thru the service check and got an oil change, at the time I looked at it, it had not been detailed. Did not test drive it went on looks. I had to pay nearly 3000 over book price to purchase the vechile that would work for my family. The vechile looked great. When we were transferring vechiles the salesman told us to come back the next day and he would interduce us to the service crew and get us one free oil change and have the outfit detailed. Then told me how awsome of detailing job his son does and how great our new outfit would look. Went back the next day snowy conditions the salesman met me outside and said that a detailing probably wouldn't be good today, I agreed. I went inside to give the financing guy some paperwork when I was done the salesman met me on my way back through the store with a fast car wash coupon since they were unable to do the detailing and I drove there. I also asked the salesman about a noise, he told me it was the auto leveling system, thats what it sounds like he has one on his outfit and how great and smooth it drives and how it levels when you do towing. What do you know 3 days later the water pump goes out, contacted the salesman to see what to do since he sold me an extended warranty and he did not know how the warranty worked. So I was out of town the next day and my wife had to figure out how to get the kids to and from school. A complacation that could have been prevented if he would have known how the warranty they sell works. The warranty took care of 75 percent of it and TAM took care of the rest, they TAM tried to make me pay a deductible until I brought it to there attention that there was no deductible and then oh ya there is no deductible. That next weekend I was traveling so I contacted the salesman to see if I could leave the vechile there and have it detailed, he told me thats what the fast car wash coupon was for, i said no you promised me a detail, he said leave it and he would get it taken care of. Come on $15 car wash does not equal a $300 detail. I returned back that evening to a quickly washed outside and a shampoo job in the cargo area, and that's all. I was unimpressed with the job they had all day to clean it that's what I received. Of course was unable to reach my salesman. But after making a few calls, the xxx. Mgr called me and told me how great of condition this 11 year outfit was in. I agreed but the salesman promised me a detailing and that's all I was expecting. Then the xxx. mgr tells me how dirty my trade in was, which it was dirty, but that had nothing to do with what was promised to me. So the next Monday I called the service department to see how much it was going to cost me to have the inside detailing finished, and then they decided they would detail the inside for me but it was going to take 2 days, so once again I had to find a rental vehicle and drive 70 miles to have them detail it. Finally got it detailed, looks like it should awsome newly purchased vechile. Now the auto leveling suspension doesn't work, contracted the salesman, he knows nothing about the system or the extented warranty, was not friendly and no help. I love my vechile and once all the promises are met I will leave Taylor's Auto Max alone, you make a promise you honor it. Thanks Taylor's Auto Max for the over priced outfit, the stress, many miles and rental costs, and new used vechile on its second problem in less than 14 days. And jay, service after the sale is my priority, really? You are right I will never be pleased when you don't honor you promises, I know your a salesman, but do what you say and know what you sell. And jay maybe get to know your customers, I don't live on a farm.

- Shopped for a used car
Scott purchased this vehicle form me. This vehicle is one of the cleanest well maintained vehicles I've ever taken in on trade. However it is 11 years old and is a used vehicle with 85,000 on it. I told him we can't make it new, it looks great now and will be even better after we finish the inside. I mentioned to Scott that I would purchase this vehicle as is without any hesitation because of the condition. The vehicle had been traded in on a Tuesday. It had already been through the shop but had not gone thourgh detail yet. Scott agreed it looked great inside in and out as it is. I mentioned to Scott all the vehicles on our lot look like this one does already after they go through our detail shop, and this one is already there!!!. He purchased this vehicle undetailed on a Friday night. The vehicle was dirty on the outside as it had not been washed due to snow on the ground etc. I gave him a coupon for a local car wash to go through when the roads cleared up. He understood it was pointless to wash it that night as the roads were a mess. He was fine with it. I also told him that my son works in detail and to bring it back and he would go through the inside and clean the carpets. I believe where Scott's issue is he simply got annoyed that the water pump went out on it several days after it was purchased. He called me at 10:00pm on my cell at home on the following Tuesday evening to tell me it was leaking anti freeze. I told him we would be in touch the next day when the dealership was open and that is would be taken care of. Taylor's ServiceMax took complete care of this issue and replaced the water pump at no charge to Scott. On Friday afternoon Scott called and said he needed to have a complete detail now. He lives on the farm and I assumed there would be mud etc. in the vehicle when he brought it in. (having seen his trade you would understand how he maintained his vehicles) I told him he had it for a week and we would do our best to vacuum the inside, and that we weren't responsible for the new dirt added while he had it. He wasn't happy with this, so we agreed to shampoo the entire car on Sat. A tech went through and shampooed the entire car, (all the carpeting area, not just the back as the customer stated) had he felt the carpets he would have noticed the carpets were still damp. I had to double check the vehicle upon completion of the shampoo and they looked great!!! They also washed the outside. The vehicle looked great inside and out! On a side note, the vehicle he traded in was the dirtiest vehicle I've ever seen on the inside. They took bags of trash out of it as they were transfering car seats etc into their new Denali. When they we were finished transfering their stuff out, we took additional bags of garbage out!! The truck was a wreck! I'm amazed how they could possibly complain on the condition of their new vehicle. At approx 7:30 Sat. night he calls and rants about the detail job. I explained the issues to our General Manager and he called and explained to Scott that it was a 11 year old car and that we couldn't make it completely new. Scott understood at that point. Our General Manager explained we were finished with this transaction. On Monday Scott called and complained to the detail department about the job. After discussing all of his issues they agreed to completely detail the vehicle inside and out AGAIN!!! Now the customer is complaining that it's an inconvenience to bring the vehicle back to have done what he requested...He also wants a loaner of which we simply don't have available to a customer. There is no pleasing this individual. I hope this sheds some light on the "real story". Thanks for your time, Jay
They turned things around
This my third vehicle from Taylor's. The last vehicle I bought a year and a half ago was a horrible experience, but this time around it seems they changed a lot of things for the better. GREAT customer service and fair prices. Kip was a great salesman and very down to earth and was a straight shooter with me. The service department seems it was revamped as well. Overall, it was a great experience.

Reliable Professionalism
I was looking for a specific Car (Toyota Avalon) Kip Kulju was able to show me one. It was all and more than I hoped for. Kip was straight up professional with me exactly what I respond very well to. The two of us struck a good deal and I am quit happy with my experience. I would and will buy from Taylor's Auto Max again as I am looking to replace my Truck with a Work Van and I will seek out Kip's Help. Thank You Gregg Murphy

Gave us calm confidence when we needed it.
Princeton was attentive and accommodating. We had three children with short attention spans with us and he made sure that they were taken care of and even gave them tacos when they were hungry! He didn't pressure us into any particular model and even worked with our recent bankruptcy. Even during the financing process he stayed very active with us to answer any questions and keep us reassured that we were on the right track. Thank you very much for helping us get a great reliable vehicle while rebuilding our credit!
