Screwed

I found a used Taurus in price I can afford they tried to get me financed but came back with a no then 2 weeks later call me and say they got me a 2020 jeep so I go pick it up and trade my car in... a month later they call me and ask me when I'm going to pay my cash down payment I said what down payment so was never told of this but oh that is only the beginning the day b4 thanksgiving about 9am they call and say they cant get me a loan fir the car and I have to return it I said your crazy I've made 3 payments on this car of over 500 which Chrysler credit co returner to pilsin and they kept and 2 hours later they show up at my house with the police telling them I stole this car I've been paying for for months and they took the new car and they have already sold my trade in so now I have no car and I'm disabled I'm filling suit against pilson asap

First "NEW" car experience ruined

pilson sold me a 2017 Ford Explorer with an oil leak in March I gave them 4 chances to fix it. Then I went to Ford who sent me to another dealership to fix it. I still have an oil leak. Its been 7 mos I cant trust their mechanics, Ford says my car doesnt fall under Lemon Law even though pilson had my car back in their shop less tham 24 hrs after I bought it. what was supposed to be my NEW (1st second owner car only 3 yrs old) has been the worst experience I've ever had. Not only would I not recommend pilson, I'm not sure I will ever even drive a Ford again after this.

Gigantic waste of time

Hands down the worst car shopping experience I've ever had. After the dealership CALLED ME TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT, my wife and I took off of work to drive an hour to Mattoon to test drive an F-150. We arrived on time and were introduced to our salesperson, Nelson. Nelson told us that the truck would be ready in "just a few minutes since it back in the service area". After a 20 minute wait, Nelson admitted that the truck wasn't even on the lot. It had been loaned out to an employee earlier in the day. However, we were then told that the employee had been contacted and was on his way back to the dealership. WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR and the truck was still nowhere to be seen. During this time, all Nelson did was hide behind his desk and blame his BDM for the mistake (If you don't know what a BDM is, don't worry. I didn't either. But I later learned that it stands for Business Development Manager. The person who called us to schedule the appointment.) Eventually, I would learn that the error was not the BDM's fault. The truck wasn't given to the employee until hours after our appointment was scheduled. Instead of being honest with us and admitting to a mistake so we could go about our day, Nelson and his coworkers wasted our afternoon. His approach to the situation and lack of clarity completely broke my trust. I understand how the mistake happened. But, his choice of response was cowardly, dishonest, and insincere. I don't trust his judgement and have no desire to do business with his employer. We did end up test driving the truck after it arrived back at the dealership. It was dirty and wasn't sanitized between the time the employee drove it and the time we climbed into the car. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the Dan Pilson Auto Center. There are a lot of other dealerships in central Illinois that would be happy to sell us a truck. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere too.

Ford F150

Found a pickup truck I liked. Wanted to trade my Mustang. Since I live three hours away, most of our communications were by email. We were able to come to a deal, and I picked up the truck, dropped off the Mustang, signed the papers, and back on the road in less than fifteen minutes! Bottom line, Jim Javens was great to work with and Pilson is my recommendation!

Amazing people amazing customer service great experience this is our new dealership , we walked in and told them we wanted , payment and our vehicle we traded in and we walked out of there with a beautiful car and price we asked

I just purchased my 3rd vehicle from pilsons. I don't bother shopping anywhere else, because I already know they will take care of me. Randy is the guy you want to talk to if you're in the market for a vehicle. If they don't have it they'll find it. No pressure sales. Absolutely the best service around!
