Absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life.
Absolutely the worst car buying experience of my life. The loan was quick and easy, but the vehicle delivered was not worth the $47,000 total after down payment, extended warranty etc. Cabin filter was black and clogged preventing any air from blowing through the AC vents, suspension that I’m assuming they put on wasn’t aligned, and it threw a check engine light within the first 20miles…..transmission failed to shift stuck in 4th gear. Upon a real inspection unlike the one they claimed to do the following problems were listed: Turbo on its way out, transmission pressure sensor or whole transmission( can’t get the extended warranty they sold with it to answer the phone, or email), the engine codes had a history of being deleted prior to me purchasing the truck according to the local Dodge dealership, and suspension not only being out of alignment but the axel seals were all blown and leaking. At least now i know why it was delivered with the battery disconnected ohh and last thing I paid $400 total have it delivered by them and then I got the toll road bill in the mail for $64 in tolls because the transporter made sure the paper tag was on the truck to save them the cost. Now I’ve made my first payment while the 47k paperweight sits at a dealership waiting for carsprotection.com warranty to remove they head from their third point of contact. Sooo if you see a truck at this place i recommend 1. Under no circumstances do you buy it via online 2. Get a warranty in the event they are purposefully dishonest 3. Look elsewhere to ensure you get what you want by your price point 4. Don’t expect anyone at this place to treat you like a human after they have completely took you for all you got and sold you a heap of junk. Also don’t expect a car fax with complete car history. I did my own car fax and this vehicle has been registered a few times with random miles on it i purchased it with 132k but there was an entry on carfax with 162k miles. So do yourself a favor and do extremely good homework before taking the dive on a money pit.

Beware “refurbished” claims at CarsAndPickups.
Beware “refurbished” claims at CarsAndPickups.com We went online, did our research, (so we thought) and secured a truck. Then we flew into Dallas from Michigan and purchased (with NO financing) a “refurbished” Chevy Silverado 3500 HD from the Dallas location on-04-29-2025, Within days, we encountered three major failures: Heads‑up display did not work— right on the lot, and "Fraud Todd", the technician even told us to pay for the part and promised reimbursement, for part cost and installation at the Michigan Dealership, but we’ve heard nothing back. Both batteries failed three days after purchase, requiring towing and repair charges—again, reimbursement promised and never delivered. Also sensors for parking assist go off for no reason while driving. Moon roof will not open, & none of the many buttons on the inside ceiling of the truck work at all. They are complete scammers. They did NOT REFURBISH THIS TRUCK. We’ve been ignored repeatedly by both TODD The Fraud of the service department, Cagey Jacob Bernelle from sales. I have contacted dealership management and still NOTHING. We bought a refurbished vehicle, paid extra for peace of mind, and got nothing but frustration and more unsolicited bills that have NOT been reimbursed as promised. Total frauds. Now we have to sue these jerks, and make reports to Attorney General and of course The BBB. I can't believe what scammers these people have been to us. We are honest, hard-working people who are good on their word. They should be named: "Cheatsandperfidiouspickups.com" Thanks for nothing. Lesson learned: steer clear. They’ll promise you anything just to get your money—but don’t expect a quality vehicle or follow-through.

The vehicle we purchased was represented as having been completely inspected including a 50-mile test drive and any problems taken care of. We discovered several issues during a short test drive. It was promised that they would resolve after a longer drive or that the dealer would help resolve them. None were resolved. Several other issues became evident within the long drive home and the next day. The rep promised he would look into them. After a few weeks and multiple e-mail exchanges they just stopped responding. None of the issues were fixed by the dealer, some required expensive repairs. Also, it took over 6 weeks to get the title, but we did finally get it. I relied upon the good dealer rating we saw on Autotrader, but that certainly was not our experience. If you want to see ratings that more represent our experience, go to Better Business Bureau.

Drove down from Arkansas to pick up a Ram 3500, headed back home and found a few minor issues after 5 hour drive, Chuck worked with us and helped us resolve our issues! So even after they had our money they worked with us until we were satisfied.

Made a deal to drive down the following day to pickup a 2019 Ram 3500. We arrived shortly after 9:00 AM took the truck for short drive around the dealership. Truck seemed fine but apparently I should have brought my own checklist. Air pressure monitor not working, adjustable pedals not working, both clearance light on front of dually fenders not working, panel on tailgate should have 8 bolts inky had 3, insulation blanket under hood not there! The response they gave me was it was sold as is but since we did buy warranty they told me to file a claim. I said it’s like a preexisting health condition, their response—don’t tell them. That’s what I get for driving over 5 hours one way to do business….

We stumbled upon this dealership while shopping for my husband a new work truck. We found what we thought to be a great truck located on the Houston lot. Unfortunately after having it brought in to the Dallas lot our salesman notified us that the vehicle was throwing a ABS code. We were at the Dallas dealership on a Saturday, so not much anyone could do for diagnostic/repair. We decided we would drive the truck home and have it repaired at our local dodge dealership. Considering it was under factory warranty and extended warranty we had no reason to believe it would be a huge issue. WE WERE WRONG!!! The truck had essentially been chop shopped and was completely un repairable under any warranty! Our salesman D’Andre and the GM at Dallas were nothing short of amazing to us! We were able to get out of the original truck and into another within a week! They even let us drive the alternative truck for a few days to ensure we felt confident. They were very communicative and never hesitated to answer all questions we had. We never felt like a bother or that we had to be mean to get this disaster situated. I think our situation was just unfortunate. The Dallas dealership was VERY professional and helpful and we could truly feel that they cared about us as a customer and their name as a business! Would recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to give them a try! Ask for D’Andre

DO NOT Purchase from carsandpickups.
DO NOT Purchase from carsandpickups.com. We give them a 0 star rating. Their showroom may be nice and flashy but their business ethics and practices are the worst we have ever experienced buying a vehicle in our lifetime. We are a retired military family and work 80-100 hours a week for our business. We bought a work truck through them March 21, 2025 as our main business vehicle. We also bought the $5K, 3 year unlimited mile warranty with it to make sure it was covered. My husband sent me to pick it up. I test drove it and asked why it had a bad exhaust smell. They said it had been sitting and failed to mention it was a deleted diesel truck which was listed no where in the sales write up. Fifteen days after we owned it the engine went down with a cracked head and it needed a new engine. The Ford dealer repairing it said the warranty company I gave them the phone # to had no record of it having an extended warranty. We went back and forth with carsandpickups trying to figure it out. They never return calls like they say they will and you have to call numerous times a day to keep following up. Turns out they dropped the ball and NEVER filed the warranty paperwork after we paid for it. April 11th, 21 days after purchasing it, they finally filed it with the warranty company while our truck sat waiting for repair dealing with them to figure this out. Once it was processed the dealer where we live called us and said the warranty company is denying it because the truck was turned into the dealership April 7th for repair and the warranty was purchased April 11th (because they filed it 3 weeks after we really purchased it). So we call carsandpickups back and they said they would work on it with their warranty rep. We have to keep calling and texting. Today is April 28th and our truck has been down for 21 days now waiting for repair still with no resolution while we pay for a commercial rental truck. I am disgusted at how they take advantage of people. We know the risk of buying a used vehicle and that is why we have always bought the full extended warranty. Never once have we ever had any issue with an extended warranty or repair with it at a dealer. Now the story has changed and carsandpickups are telling us it's not denied not because of the date like our repair dealer was told but because the price was too high for the repair. We said tell us where they want it repaired and get it towed there, it needs to get done. Their VP said he would follow up with their rep again and we never heard back. Their business development manager now says the VP told us what we need to do and he isn't calling back. There is nothing they can do. There is zero accountability for anyone who works there and it's a 3 ring circus with who is in charge or responsible for anything. The warranty company 100% confirms it is not denied due to price, it is due to their error of buying the warranty weeks after we paid for it. No response from the owner Scott at all. People make mistakes, we are all human but when you identify the mistake then hide from it and blame it on false things and provide zero help for a mess you created, that's just wrong. The only way they can be held accountable is by law as well as consumer protection for fraud.
