Service follow-up on new car

We had a trailer hitch ordered to be installed in our new 2017 Explorer. Adriane Correa was the service advisor who handled the installation. I went as planned. The communication was good. The loan of a new Focus was convenient, with absolutely no hassle. I could not have been more pleased. Fred Berry

Windshield replacement and 2 years of great service

Ray Vick Your review will be posted publicly on the web. Learn more I purchased a F150 from Rusty Eck a couple of years ago and it was a pleasant experience. I was assigned a service advisor, Adriane Correa, and I have been very satisfied every time I take in my truck for service. Adriane is very knowledgeable and keeps you appraised of how the repairs are progressing and about when your vehicle will be ready. A couple of weeks ago I took my truck in for a windshield change due to a crack that was growing and putting out additional cracks. Long story short Adriane spent a couple of days getting my insurance company the data they needed to cover the replacement that definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend getting vehicles from Rusty Eck and/or getting your vehicle serviced at Rusty Eck. Try to get Adriane Correa as your service advisor as she is the very best. Ray Vick

Higher price than quoted

I called Oct 10th to schedule replacing all 4 tires on my Escape. I gave him my vehicle year, make, model & current tire size & told him I wanted something all-weather. He told me my tire options. I selected the Michelin Defender tire. He told me my walkout the door price after installation & tax would be $735. Today (Oct 21st) I dropped it off @ 10:45a & was told I would be called in 2-3 hrs to pick it up. After I left I received a phone call from my original tech that it would be $821. I argued that was not what he told me when I scheduled, he said he didn't remember that conversation but the price stands. I did not get called until 4:30p (almost 6 hrs later) that my car was ready for pickup. Then my bill came to $887...a $152 increase from my original quote. My 1st and last experience with Rusty Eck Ford.

Worst Ford sales department ever

This happened a few months ago and if I knew about this web site I would have written this sooner. I have been a Ford customer since 1985 and have bought many Fords in several states and in Europe due to military service over the years. I have never been treated by any dealership like I was at this place. I was contacted by a Rusty Eck Ford salesman by phone after a service that I had on my F-150. The salesman said he had noticed that my truck had low miles for a 2010 and that they would like to take it in trade and were offering up to $12,000 off new trucks. I was suspicious but drove 35 miles to the dealership and immediately faced an army of salesmen, most of them rookies, who wanted me to fill out contact forms and even sign an "agreement to purchase now" form. Are you kidding me? Right out of the 1970s. A sales manager and an experienced salesman finally came by after an hour of my looking around and asked me why are you here? I said because you called me and I am interested in a new F-150 but a specific model like mine. They had one truck on the lot and one more at another dealership that matched. I then told the salesman and the sales manager that this is how I buy a new truck: I want dealer invoice pricing, all the rebates off, I pay cash, and I want the final out-the-door price ONCE. I knew in advance what those numbers were after doing research on line and I also knew what my trade-in was worth in the area. The manager then told me that I had to "qualify" for dealer invoice pricing. Really? Last three Fords I bought at other Ford dealerships in three different states gave dealer invoice pricing to me immediately and even showed me their printout that matched my numbers. Regardless, neither new truck had 20" rims so the manager offered that he "would let me" take the old rims and tires off my old truck with 60,000 miles on it and put them on the new one. What an idiot. Meanwhile, they had evaluated my trade-in and low-balled me by $5,000. I protested and the manager said he had taken three just like it in trade recently (really, they do not make that many FX4's and mine was in excellent condition) and that was the price. I asked to see the FX4 trade-ins he had just taken and he just stared at me. At this point, they also had the key to my truck and would not give it back. The manager then told me the price he wanted for the new truck with trade and kept pressuring me to buy. I asked if the final price was based upon MSRP and not invoice and he said "yes." In other words, he did not listen to anything I said and was overpricing the sale by around $8000. I then demanded my key and said I am leaving. He would not give it back until I threatened to call the police. When I got my key back, it had a Rusty Eck key tag on it with an inventory number as if it had already been traded in and was parked in their trade-in lot awaiting a detailed inspection. I left angry; the entire experience took three hours just to get out of there. I will never go there again except for service, which is first-rate. Do not buy a new vehicle from Rusty Eck Ford in Wichita.

Damaged my car and would not claim responsibility

When doing a routine oil change a couple years back 9/2013 they did not put things back correctly when driving out of town the next day this caused damage to the undercarriage of the car which they would not claim responsibility for and told me I must have hit something which I did not. I was accused of lying to them and they did not pay for the repair nor refund the horrible incomplete oil change job. Will never go back!!! I called them several times but nothing was ever done to make amends. I have not been back since and would never recommend them even to someone I didn't like.

Quick Lane employees

In the quick lane to get oil changes or work done under warranty has been excellent. I must say though that the car dealer's attitudes change after they sell you the car. That I am not IMPRESSED WITH AT ALL!
