The sales manager was very rude and sarcastic on the phone

The sales manager was very sarcastic and rude on the phone because he didn't like the internet offer through Autotrader. He insisted that I must visit him in person in order to talk to him, and he does not talk about pricing on the phone.

Seamless and stress-free

Manny was my salesman...I met him at the dealership in November. They didn't have what I was looking for but Manny nudged me several times afterwards until last week. My new car was waiting for me up front. We drove it, inspected it, talked about it and purchased it. It was a seamless and stress-free.experience. Thanks Manny!

2105 Lexus RX350 Search

Car Max was very helpful in my search and gave excellent information and customer service. I completed my purchase at Lexus of Tulsa since it was closer and they had the exact color and accessories that I wanted.

Bought a car last week and Nelson had it washed and ready to go as soon as we got there. Everyone was very friendly and they guy that did the paperwork and got in touch with the bank (can’t remember his name) was excellent. Would buy a car there again anytime!

Buyers Beware

I purchased a 2015 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport from this dealer in February 2018. The purchasing process was okay, but before I agreed to purchase, I specifically asked if the car came with two key FOBs, and I was told by the salesperson that it did, and the spare FOB was "in the closet." Only until after I closed the deal, they told me that there was only one key FOB. I went to a real Lexus dealership and had to purchase a second key FOB, on my own expense ($350.00). Secondly, the vehicle had no gearshift knob installed, and the salesperson claimed that they keep the knobs locked away to prevent knob theft. We literally test drove the vehicle without it. However, after closing the deal, the salesperson simply unscrewed a knob from another similar vehicle on their lot, and screwed it onto mine. Thirdly, not until a month later (late March), I noticed FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME, that the wheel paint colors did not match - the two in the front were a different color than the two in the rear. All four wheels have a similar shade of grey, so it was very difficult to notice at the time of the purchase. The two wheels on the front were a darker shade, which could easily be mistaken for brake dust accumulation. The very same day that I noticed the difference, I took the vehicle back to the lot and the sales manager acknowledged the discrepancy and told me to return in a couple of days so that a service technician can determine a resolution. As instructed, I returned with the vehicle on time, just for the sales manager to tell me that he didn't know where the service technician was, and that he didn't know what time he would arrive. I expressed my frustration with him that I showed up at the time he instructed, but his response was that the technician was a "vendor" and that "he can't control him," which makes absolutely no sense if this is to be considered a legitimate business establishment. That is a huge red flag if a sales manager has no control over any basic business operation. At this point, I was sensing that I was getting the run around in classic buy-here-pay-here dealership fashion, so I've decided to go get the wheels painted on my own dime ($750). BTW, when I asked the sales manager if they would consider covering a portion of the cost (not even the entire cost), he looked at me like I just stepped off an alien ship, so I knew there was very little chance that they would be willing to make a sound business decision and reconcile this situation. This vehicle should have never been put on the lot like that, and now I will have paid an additional $1,000 for a vehicle that I agreed to pay market value for. I have learned a valuable lesson and Automax has now ruined their reputation; along with all of those pretend dealerships that you see on the side of the roads. From now on, I deal with big dealerships that have the resources and business acumen to not be petty about minor discrepancies like mine. As a licensed attorney in the State of Georgia, I believe I have a strong breach of implied and expressed warranty, and a breach of merchantability case, and would love to take legal action, but frankly the time and effort that it would take to file a complaint in Gwinnett County Magistrate Court would outweigh the damages that I would be awarded, so this is why I am taking the time to express my frustration. I would end up spending at least 10 hours ($350/hour) of my own time, plus court fees on this case. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of Gwinnett County.
