Review of Peterson Toyota Boise, Idaho

I had my car serviced while I was visiting relatives in Boise at Peterson Toyota. joe was my tech and he was great and answered all my questions. I felt confident in resuming my trip back to the Seattle as maintenance was very thorough and the process explained to me. I was given a printout of all the services done.I would go back again and recommend them highly.

Good Service

Got my car serviced and got some problems taken care of. The service was good and was in and out fairly quickly for not setting up an appointment. The customer service was great and felt like I was taken care of very well.

Financing disaster

I had what I thought was a good buying experience at Peterson Toyota until it came time for the pay off of the vehicle I traded in. I was waiting to receive a refund on my Gap insurance from the car I had traded. It was taking forever so I finally called the bank and found out that Peterson had not paid the traded car off. They had sent a check for pay off that was less than the amount that was quoted. (In fact, I have no idea where they got their pay off amount since it was less than the one I had had quoted to me earlier that day.) They had paid less by $20+ and then waited six days to pay it off until another $23+ was added for interest. Then they told me I had to pay what was left. I was told this was a common practice for them. That is to make the consumer pay what they underpaid. Now I am waiting to see if this can get resolved. Even the salesman seems unsure of all this and says Peterson does not want to pay it, but to keep me as a customer he will pay the difference himself. Evidently this payoff fiasco happens quite often. I think it is a rip off. i went to buy a car on good faith that they would uphold their end of the deal and payoff the traded car totally. 1. Did they call for a pay off amount? No one seems to remember 2. Why would they pay less than what was even quoted to me? 3. Why did it take them 5 business days to take a check to the Meridian branch of the bank for payoff, so interest was added? 4. Why should the consumer have to pay for their mistake when they had ample time to take care of this? 5. Why would the girl in financing tell the bank she was sending them a check when she had no intention of doing so? 6. Why is my gap money being held up because of their practices? 7. Why would the salesman have to pay for it? All I know is that I have purchased at least 10 cars in my life (including three at Peterson) and never once has anything like this happened to me. I believe Peterson should take care of this and all payoffs no matter what.

Great Salesman

Gerry Hill was a pleasure to deal with at Peterson Toyota. He made our purchase of a new Prius easy and fast. If the car works as well as Gerry did with us, we will be VERY satisfied customers.

Shopping for a new car

Jeff Crabtree, our salesman, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We felt no pressure. Jeff was everything anyone would want a car salesman to be. He took the time and patience to show us the navigation and other features of the car. He spent all the time with us that we needed to learn about the car. Robert and Carol Hamlin

DO NOT LET THEM WORK ON YOUR CARS!!!!

I took my 2011 Highlander into have the oil change and alignment done. While they had my car they called me to tell me that I needed an extra $2800 in repairs. The repairs they were saying I needed did not need to be done, I had it looked at by two other mechanics. The other mechanics I spoke with had never even heard of the problems they were claiming my car had. They also did not do the alignment that I paid for.

My Toyota Rav4

This is my second car from Peterson Toyota in 1.5 years. Both times I have dealt with Brent Palmatier specifically. Brent is a no nonsense sales person and does a great job. Best trade-in prices in town. I would go back for a third vehicle in the future.

Love my new Tacoma

I just bought a 2015 Toyota Tacoma from Justin Ramsey at Peterson Toyota in Boise. He was great to work with - Honest, Knowledgeable, and Informative; all traits that I appreciate and respect. I have owned Toyota's for decades and knew what I wanted prior to arriving. Justin filled my request and gave me no pressure that is so typical of many car salesmen Thanks Justin!

Great Service

Took my 2005 Toyota Tacoma for an oil change while waiting I was looking at some of the 2014 Toyota models. I struck up a friendly conversation with Troy W he informed me there was a sale going on so I took a look at the 2014 RAV4. I knew what color I wanted looked at it he offered a test ride but I decline the offer We sat down and look at the trade vale of Tacoma and it was worth it. Troy was awesome I felt no pressure . I live in meridian 8 years strong and Peterson Toyota service all my vehicles . Yes I would buy from Peterson Toyota again

Best in the treasure valley

I have had both my BMW cars worked on at peterson bmw. The quality of service, professionalism and honesty is unmatched. Some of my friends have gone to other European mechanics and have many horror stories. Curtis at Peterson BMW has always made sure my "ultimate driving machine" is just that.
