I had my husbands truck serviced ...I got the appt I wanted and they got me right in on that day ...The young lady that helped us was awesome! she offered us drinks and kept us up dated on our truck. The waiting was comfortable and had TV and YF...and when our truck was done she had a coupon for us so it was way cheaper...totally great! they also washed the truck ! loved it..

Great service on my AC system

I needed my AC system diagnosed and repaired, and they gave me an honest explanation of what was wrong. Told me the cost and stuck to that when it was all done. Thank you!

Stole my down payment money

Sold me a car when I was 19. I put $1200 down. Which for a 19 year old is a lot of money. They told me the financing was all good to go. Little did I know they never had the financing secured. 3 weeks later they told me they couldn’t find financing and needed the car back. I told them I can get my bank to approve me. They didn’t wait for that, they towed the car the car while I was at work and refused to refund my money. They just laughed and mocked me. I never did get my money back. I called the police and they said there’s nothing they can do because it’s a business, it’s a civil issue. I called a lawyer and he wrote them letters but to no avail. Suing would have cost me more money, I just didn’t have that kind of money at 19. I ended up buying a different car on KSL with financing from my bank. The management and owners at Riverton are unethical people. I don’t know who can sit with a clean conscience knowing they screw over young people. For the principal take your business elsewhere. Plenty of other dealers who do honest business.

Absolutely the best used car inventory I've seen.

Have tons of pre owned vehicles to choose from. Most I've seen at any other dealership so far!! Would recommend!! Great service tons to choose from.

Careless Service Technicians

Took my Camaro in for an oil change. Got it back all scratched up on the entire rear end of the car. They tell me "the door came down while Technician was backing you car out." What? Who decides to lower doors while driving in or out of the shop? So, they took my car to a local body shop. It was shiny, but had major particles in the clear coat.. Try again! They tried, a sub -par paint job, and overspray galore. I will never take a car to Riverton Chevrolet ever again!!!

Wasn’t a Chevy but still knowledgeable

Went in for a Toyota they had listed. Tre was helpful and knowledgeable; got us taken care of quickly. Reasonably priced and somewhat haggle free.

Do your self a favor and do not shop here.

We came to Riverton Chevrolet knowing the exact vehicle we wanted, our financing in hand; ready to buy a used truck they had on the lot. We drove it, liked it and wanted to buy it. There were a couple of issues though with the vehicle, it was a new trade in and was put online before it had been detailed or inspected. We were assured that Riverton Chevrolet who have been in business for almost a century were not like the other guys, those across the freeway. They would run the vehicle through a rigorous multipoint inspection and make sure everything was in working order. They would replace the missing mirror and figure out why the airbag light was on. They assured us that they would not be willing to risk almost 100 yrs of reputation on 1 deal. Well . . . We bought the Truck, left it to have the inspection and get the stuff fixed. Good news too, they were able to get us financing at a lower interest rate than what we walked in with already. So, my wife and I left happy. That is where this story of a high school teacher buying a nice truck takes a turn south. Fast forward a couple of days and my wife and I with all three of our kids went to pick it up. We got there to pick it up, we were ushered in, they found the keys, and we were good to go. Oops! There was an issue with financing and so we had to sign new papers, at an interest rate higher than what we walked in with. However, the guy who did the loan, the salesman and the team manager were all not in, so there was really nothing they could do. Well, they had discounted the selling price and made it so that there was really only about 100 dollars different. So my wife and I signed again, and were ready to go, except the passenger side mirror was not fixed because they had to order a part. While we were resigning papers, my kids discovered that the rear passenger door did not open from the inside, and a seatbelt would not latch. Well, as I said, no one was there and the person who was helping us could not make any promises, but he would talk to those who did and when we brought it back in for the mirror, we could get it fixed. So we left, and made it halfway home before the warning lights started. First was the gas cap light warning. OK, easy fix. Pull over, tighten the cap. The Check Engine light came on about 50 miles out. I am not sure what “inspection” they performed, but you would thing that seatbelt functionality would be on the list. Apparently clearing engine codes was on the list, because I figured out what it was reset it to test and drive a little ways and it’s back on. Then I went back to get the mirror fixed, and hopefully the other issues. Unfortunately, no one knew anything about the seatbelt or the door, but they could check on it as soon as the salesman was back, but they could fix the mirror. So they did. I left just giving it a once over to see that they had actually replaced the whole housing which was broken rather than just the glass of the mirror. I got home, walked around, and moved the mirror and it was loose. I pulled the door apart and found that there are four bolts, which are used to attach the mirror to the vehicle. Any guesses at how many nuts the service department at Riverton Chevrolet, in business since 1922 used to attach the mirror? One. One nut. Four bolts. Any guesses on how responsive they were to my phone call and how promptly the replied to any of the messages I left? Yeah I haven’t heard from them. So, that is why I post this here. I wish I could feel about Riverton Chevrolet that I did when my wife and I left the first day. I wish I could tell you how great they have been to work with, that I would be going back there for my next vehicle, and wholeheartedly recommend you visit them next time you are in the market for a vehicle. I can’t. My experience leads me to believe that they are exactly the type of dealership that reinforces or engenders the stereotype. I will not be back. I cannot
