I have an unexpected key fob battery replacement.

I have an unexpected key fob battery replacement. The Honda dealership told me that I am responsible for this expense. Unbelievable. and I'm a little confused about the warranty. I've purchased Honda care agreement and invoice, I thought they're helpful. I understand, electrical and mechanical warranty that only covers. Just a simple battery, is not covered? Unbelievable.
