Great experience
After a life-time of shying away from car dealers, I was amazed to be able to purchase a car online through Gill Auto Group in Madera, CA. Jim Hamby was very easy to work with, very professional, very knowledgable, and very gracious in making this purchase a very pleasant experience. The accounting department (Rosalind Freyre) was amazing—very professional, very fast, very easy to understand, very friendly, and so different from most who work in accounting departments. Overall, my experience with Gill Auto Group was a very good one, and I would have no hesitation in returning to purchase another vehicle from them, or bragging about finding them to family, friends and colleagues. Dont count chickens even when they're hatching
I had the deal set, including finaning approved. I made a $500 deposit over the phone. Just needed to get off work only a couple hours after making the deposit so I could book a flight. While in the process of purchasing airfare (i would have flown in 2 days later) I get a text NOT A PHONE CALL, telling me not to buy a ticket because they just sold the vehicle. Guess you can't count on a deposit to hold a vehicle, even for a couple hours So you can live you will be there.

I understand you're upset about missing out on a great deal. We waited over a week while you decided if you wanted to come from Utah to get this car or not. We asked for a plane ticket and deposit if you anted us to hold the car for you. We never did get the plane ticket and we never charged your credit card because we never got the plane ticket which was the key item to holding the vehicle, as you know from our emails. I'd be happy to forward any potential customers the emails he and I had in regards to this. Although I don't feel your review is fair, I do wish you well and hope you find your dream car. If we get another one in, I would be happy to offer you the same great deal.
Dont count on their word.
I put a deposit on a car, financing was arranged and just needed to book a flight after work that day to fly out a couple days later.(I live almost 400 mi. Away.) before I could even get that done they sent me a text NOT A PHONE CALL. Saying that they had just sold the car. I guess they just want the sale NOW!!!

Jim was outstanding great customer service amazing deal. Jim made sure we walked out of there with our dream car. He was very helpful with the financing piece of it, got us a good deal.
