Vehicle service ended in a scratched door

Recently had my truck in for service; oil change, inspection, etc. After getting home from my appointment, I gave the truck a once over and noticed a large “scuff” on the passenger door. It quite obviously came from the appointment. Judging by the marks, someone was leaning on the truck or left something rubbing against it for an extended period of time. If I can’t trust the service department to treat my truck with the same respect that I do, I will NOT be returning for future service needs. I bought my Tacoma from Kendall originally, but issues like this leave a bad taste in my mouth, and will make me rethink my dealer choices when shopping for my next new truck.

Disappointing

The salesman was nice enough, and was helpful in getting us to a lot, that had, what we were looking for. However, it took 4 hours to complete the process for a cash deal. Two days later we had to bring back the vehicle to the dealer for brake noise. The dealership inspected and resurfaced all rotors without any issues. But, if the dealership truly completed the precertified vehicle inspection, they should have caught this noise, and properly inspected the pads and rotors. After some online research, we read that with pitted rotors it can overheat the brakes and potentially cause a fire.

3 hours for oil change and rotate tires...really??

It took me less time to purchase my Ford Escape from them than it did to have the oil changed. (Our 4th vehicle purchased from Kendall but first with service contract) I pull in am told it will take an hour...that's fine...it is under my free service for a year and my last one. The girl asks why I did not take to Ford dealership and I tell her my free service requires here and she proceeds to get smarmy and tell me to take to Ford after this one...oookaay.... Go to waiting room...1 hour goes by.....car still over bay...an hour and 45 minutes arrives no sign of car and no response from people at there desks when asked other than it may be taking a while longer....finally see my rig parked in front at the 2 hour 15 minute mark.... wait...wait some more...finally I go ask and am told they don't have the paperwork yet and will be done shortly at the 3 hour mark one of the courtesy shuttle drivers sees I am visibly pissed and asks...he goes and gets the girl who checked me in and she quickly glosses over the paperwork and says have a nice day...I asked what took so long and she just walked away...no answer again... What really ticked me off was watching at one point 7 workers standing and talking (one seemed to be a manager) while one guy was working his but off getting customers who came in after me leaving before me.... one was even given a full transmission service and was out before me...I overheard him explain the service... Whats strange is the times before this I went on weekdays and things were somewhat better....I just noticed weekends is crappy service.... If and that's a huge if... I go back for any more service and this happens again I will ask to see a manger as this was totally unacceptable. And when I drove down to the free car wash...it was closed...something they could have let me know as it is completely in the opposite direction I need to go....and on another car lot...

Kendall dishonest people

Kendall Toyota Dealer of Eugene are by far, the worst car shop I’ve ever taken my car for service. They are the most dishonest people ever... My Toyota Camry had an extended warranty for exesive use of oil. I brought it in and it took them close to 2.5 hours to fill up the car with the needed oil, about two quarts. They sealed it up and told me to bring it back after I’ve drove it for 1,200 miles, but not to exceed 1,300. I brought the car back right after the 1,200 required miles and this time it took them over 3 hours to come back and tell me the oil in the car was perfectly fine, “it’s right to the top” he said. I knew something was wrong so I checked the oil in the car right before I started up, it was right to the top. At this point the mileage in the car was over 148,000 miles and the Mandatory Extended Warranty coverage would end at 150,000. I drove the car for just over 1,000 miles and the car used two quarts of oil; I have the record for that as it was checked at Springfield Toyota Lythia Dealer, where I took it next. At Springfield Lithya Toyota Dealership took them just over 10 minutes to add the needed oil; they told me to come back after I drive it no more than 1,220 miles. I came back right after I drove it the required miles and it took them less than 15 minutes to come back and tell me that the car had failed the test, he, (Teady) said, “that means it is using lots of oil”. He scheduled an appointment, set me for a car loaner, and got my car fixed within 4 days. Toyota cars are good, service at Kendall Dealer were not to me. We’re getting ready to get our new car, and are certainly going to get it at Lithya Toyota of Springfield. They treat me nice and at Kendall Dealer were not, they were dishonest people and I feel they’ll trick anyone. This is my most honest opinion and recount of my experience there.

Used Bait and Switch & Demanded More Money

They used a bait and switch to get my boyfriend to drive up to Oregon from California to buy a truck. The truck photographed was not the truck on the lot. Then they had to swap out to a different truck. Now they are violating their signed contract almost a month later and harassing him for more money.

The second time is a charm.

Court, Lacey, Trevor (Smith ?) and Kim were very helpful and nice. A special thank you goes out to Court as we asked him a zillion questions and he went above and beyond the normal call of duty to help (put up) with us (and among other things) crunch numbers for different scenarios and "what - ifs". Car buying isn't on my "fun" list but they made it so much less stressful. Thank you all for all your help and for making good.
